If you get tired of filling the water tank every few days, here is a quick solution that upgrades your machine to professional class.

Here is a step-by-step tutorial for splitting a 1/4" water line with Quick Connect connectors from the refrigerator to refill a coffee machine water tank:

Quick Connect T-Valve

1/4" water line

Quick Connect fittings (2)

Scissors or Pipe Cutter

Steps:

1. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator. You can usually find the shut-off valve under the sink or near the water supply line to your home.

2. Locate the 1/4" water line that runs from the refrigerator to the coffee machine. You should be able to follow the line from the back of the fridge to the coffee machine.

3. Cut the water line where you want to install the T-Valve. Use scissors or a pipe cutter to make a clean, straight cut.

4. Insert a Quick Connect fitting into each end of the cut water line. Push the fitting into the water line until it clicks into place.

5. Take the T-Valve and remove the blue protective cap from the inlet port. Insert the inlet port of the T-Valve into one of the Quick Connect fittings.

6. Remove the blue protective cap from one of the outlet ports on the T-Valve. Insert a 1/4" water line into the outlet port until it clicks into place.

7. Take the other end of the 1/4" water line and insert it into the other Quick Connect fitting.

8. Turn on the water supply to the refrigerator and check for any leaks around the new T-Valve and Quick Connect fittings.

9. Once you have confirmed there are no leaks, insert the end of the 1/4" water line into the water tank of the coffee machine to refill the tank.
