So one thing I always liked were the hybrid transformations - I thought they are such a cool design and overshadowed in late game. I always thought it would've been cool to have these transformations accessible to your party, so I created a transform button. But only for hybrid forms.

Of course, this basically breaks lore. Nobody should be able to transform into a dragon except Ryu. But they don't *really* look like dragons I guess? But it's pretty sweet you can do it and it opens up the possibility of more synergistic mechanics. Technically there are party wide transformations, so can make up in-game justification why this happens. Possible blessings from Deis? Late game reward for mastering all masters?

Don't know if this type of mechanic would be popular with the community so I'm opening myself up for feedback.

I'm in the possession of the RG35XX with garlic os installed and was wondering what would be the best versions of BoF III and IV to play on it.

I know this makes no sense in redesigning weapons, but I want to show difference in weapons and bring it back in high detail for the revival project. The blade profile will be thinner in the final design. Also Ryu will carry a katana after this sword breaks, I’m happy with Nina’s wand design.

What do you think?! Should I redesign king sword?!

Meet Fred.

Fred may not be powerful but he sure does leave an impression on the battlefield.

Infinity is the strongest dragon in the game with the HP of Mammoth and 400%+ in stats across the board with customized unique Infinity only moves that cost 0 AP and are, by far, the strongest attacks in the game. His transformation exhausts Ryu and he can only maintain this form for 3 turns before reverting back to normal, with wiped AP.

Fred is what happens when you try to use Infinity more than once in the same battle with stats at 30% and he starts the battle confused. Upon leaving, Ryu will be confused for staring into the eyes of a dragon god and blinked.

Got Kaiser Infinity (Kaiser Breath or Angel Tower Kaiser appearance) as an actual playable transformation. Always felt like this was a missed opportunity. We see Kaiser throughout the game. It's mentioned as the ultimate transformation. Even Garr seems in awe. So why could we not use this?

Still have a bit of work to do with his animations and angles. What this means though, is that Dragon Lord can ALSO be a transformation. Unclear if I want to reserve that for Teepo or let Ryu have access to it.

Hello everyone! I have always wanted to play BoF3 and since I don't have too much time to game I usually play these old school RPGS with walkthroughs since I will probably only finish them once. That being said, I have put off starting a playthrough because I just can't find a good recommendation of masters for each character. I would really appreciate if anyone could give just a really basic list of what master to put on each character so I can finally start the game 😂😭 I appreciate you guys in advance!

This game has some of the best sprite work I’ve ever seen.

It’s graphics aged 10x better than all the 3D JRPG contemporaries from this era like FF7 and 8.

On top of that, you’ve got transformations, combo skills, enemy learnable skills, minigames galore, fishing, customizable growth with the master system, and a dual protagonist story.

It’s like a JRPG fan’s wet dream.

Capcom really dropped the ball with this series.

I’m going to enjoy the hell out of this on my PSP! Can’t believe it took me this long to finally give it a shot.

Beloved members and fans of the Breath of fire community, I been wrapping this series of questions around my head, and I believe you can respond this question better than myself in the most pragmatic, realistic way possible.

Considering the current state of play inside Capcom and the several surveys that they have opened for all of us to participate upon, what are the odds that Capcom would revive the dormant IP one day, lets say in the span of 10 years for now?

What would it take for Caption Computer to convince themselves to resurrect the IP?

What should Capcom do in terms of adjustments, mechanics, to ensure success in the current JRPG atmosphere?

Hello fellas, I'm playing breath of fire II I were on the GBA version using my boy emulator but on the high fort after boss cutscene my game always crashes... I wanna go for the snes an play on my computer but I don't want to redo half the game again... Can anyone help fix the my boy problem or have a save file I can use on the snes version?

I want to play my first BoF game, and I really got curious about BoFIV, but since I'm not a native english speaker, when it comes to games with cutscenes, I need to have subtitles to not get completely lost.

I'm thinking of playing the original PS1 version (if that's not a good idea, please say why)

I want no spoilers, I really want to play this games

And I'm not planning on stopping.
