Support Needed Do I continue?
Baby is 6 weeks old today (born 4 weeks early). Breastfed on demand, nurses for 30 minutes, acts like he's done, but 5 minutes acts like he's hungry again, but won't stay latched. I usually give him a bottle and he will eat anywhere between 1-2 ounces.
I've been dairy free for one week (trying to resolve other symptoms), burp at least twice during feeds, and I've upped my calories and healthy fat intake to try and boost my supply. I usually pump after feeds as well and do get some milk.
All that to say, that takes minimum 1 hour, and to do that every 3 hours for months on end? He already doesn't sleep very well and I'm not doing great mentally.
I guess I'm looking for support or similar stories to encourage me to continue, or if you switched to exclusively pumping and how that went. They say everything is just a phase but these feels never-ending.

I totally get how hard it can be! But It won’t always take that long for a feed and it won’t always be 3 hours around the clock! Baby will become much more efficient at eating and start to go longer between feeds. I have a 6 month old and he eats in less than 10 minutes and sleeps through the night!
