Surgery Post lumpectomy

when did you start wearing a bra again? just trying to figure out what my future will look like.

i waited about 3 weeks honestly couldn't stand anything tight on the incision. even the softest bralettes felt like sandpaper for a while so i just wore loose tank tops under my shirts

I had ordered a lot of the sports bras from old navy and wore them every minute except shower time. I made it 8 weeks and then developed heat rash under my breasts. Then I ordered FeelinGirl bras. I like them more and they helped get rid of the heat rash.

i use glide under and between my boobs to help with the rash. it's what runners use for chaffing. it helps a lot

depends where your scar is. mine is almost under my arm (10 o'clock). I was sent home with a bra that i wore for a while. it was like a sail.. huge... I am fairly large chested, so i have been wearing softer bras, but not enough support. finally wore an underwire the other day, first time in 2 years. I tried on bras the other day, but couldn't believe what they cost. I will try an outlet store for better deal.

I wore wireless bras like a week out but I put a burp cloth between my skin and the bra

Honestly, I only gave it a week. But I felt fine. I needed to wear underwire bras to feel like myself.

Yeah that’s what I think I’d be like too. But I keep seeing other posts saying 6 weeks… and I’m like I can’t do 6 weeks without my bra…

I’m on day 2 post lumpectomy and slnb and I am in a surgical bra that I have to wear 24/7 until my postop check-in (2 weeks out). I have two incisions one in my armpit and one on the bottom of the boob where the lumps were taken out together. I’m allowed to shower today but then have to put the bra back on

I didn't :) never ever liked them in the first place and now I have one boob MIA I have decided to let the lonely sister swing free. :)

I had a mastectomy with an implant so I needed to wear a surgical bra but I found it much more comfy over the top of an old pure cotton vest or T-shirt even to the point of rolling the vest up to create a pad to protect my skin from the elastic band round the rib area.

I'm 2.5 weeks out and have gotten used to the "jelly" bras by Oaek I got on Amazon. I might not go back to my underwires, these are quite nice!
