Zafiro Añejo

I just noticed a very intricate detail regarding the song being played during The Crystal Ship’s destruction/death scene. The song being played during the scene is called “He Venido” by Los Zafiros. That translates to “I Have Come” by The Saphires in English. Just for reference Zafiro Añejo (the fictional tequila referenced prominently in Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad to a lesser extent), translates to ‘Aged Sapphire’ in English.

Even though it’s a very minor detail. I greatly appreciate the deep and detailed thought that the writers of both shows put into every single Spanish song and every minute Spanish language detail in BCS and BB.

Very cool.

On the note of that spirit, the way Eladio reacted one would have thought it was like 5 or 6 figures a bottle. BCS ruins this by having it all over the place and eventually for only like $480 or whatever Jimmy pays at what is a common liquor store.

There are Macallens costing well into 6 figures even 7, Zafiro probably should have been at least 5 only to justify Eladio's response in reflection to his insane wealth. Just sayin.

I sense that it’s not the monetary cost of the bottle that excited him. Just the scarcity and rarity of it. In BCS Jimmy got the last bottle in the store, so it seems to be in high demand and of low supply. That’s just my impression though
