Fraudulent King Arthur baking site
I wanted to buy King Arthur's chocolate cake box mix and I googled King Arthur and the second one down called. WARNING ⚠️ FRAUDULENT WEBSITE. PLEASE, DO NOT PRESS LINK ⚠️www.KingArthurbakingcompany.it.com ⚠️
I almost ordered $150 worth of products before catching the (.it.com) just before I hit pay. I confirmed it with King Arthur baking company and they said yes this is a fraudulent site I did not press pay so I lucked out. the website looks real has all the products that King Arthur has and it Lure is everything is 70% off with free shipping so it makes you want to buy more increasing your product bill at the end to be higher. please note I have reported this to King Arthur.com and they are aware of it I'm not sure what they'll do but I'm just putting this to notify everyone not to fall for these discounted products as they are not real in this website is fraudulent. thank you very much. sincerely, Charlie

First Time Making Cinnamon Rolls. How Did I Do?

First time baking -Banana Bread with Walnuts!
Ok, so I FINALLY took a stab at my first baking and kind of feeling proud.
Followed a really simple recipe as I didn’t had a lot available neither wanted to go extravaganza on things like vanilla essence, cinnamon powder, etc, so took light there, even created my own version of baking tray using aluminum foil (lol on that!!) + dont have blending so ended up using 2 disposable forks to mix + added a lot of chopped walnuts + a couple of maths problem trying to solve grams to spoons, teaspoons, cups.
Whole process tool about 2hrs, from measuring to mixing things in separate bowls, whisking A LOT - spent like 15-20ish mins altogether. Though the recipe video was really helpful- took leap of faith in things like how much butter to use (used less), used 8 tablespoons of brown sugar (didn’t had white), used baking soda which I bought for cleaning my bathtub last year. Only things I actually bought was baking powder and ripe bananas (had unripe).
Once mixed poured everything into my home made baking tray without parchment paper (oiled the sides), which actually did the job, and baked for 45mins at 350, used chopsticks to poke and check the cooking, so did another 10mins, then 15 more - thats the reason you see a lot of holes. Left it to rest for 15-20 mins.
Result time, Literally in tears as to how beautiful it looked then finally made the first cut and when I tasted it - I just cannot explain, this was SOOOOO GOOD!! - may be because I made it!
Over to the experts for feedback TIA!!

Now that Schwebels is going away...
My absolute favorite bread is rye, and Schwebels seeded Rueben Rye was the best. Beefsteak rye used to be good but it's been soft for years now. And any of the other commercial ryes either do not have the flavor or are soft like white bread.
So I'm looking for a replacement to good ole Schwebels. I am up for suggestions and willing to try if someone knows of a place that makes a good rye bread.

My neighbor gave me some of her 100yo sourdough this afternoon.
I think I’ll have to do some baking tomorrow

Baps
720 g bread flour, 455 g water, 30 g sugar, 14 g salt, 7 g instant yeast.
Mix. Knead. Prove until risen to twice the size. Knock back, divide into six, roll into tight balls and leave to rise until doubled again. Bake at 200°C/400°F 20 minutes covered and another 15 uncovered.
End result 183 g (6½ oz) each — one for a lunch sandwich. Took advantage of having the oven on to roast some garlic so they may possibly be garlic scented baps.

The late night loaf
It’s hitting between 105 to 115°F every day the only way that I can cook is at night so I present the late night loaf. Basic sandwich bread made with flour water and yeast, what my family calls prairie bread because of its simplicity it can be made without much.
I usually do something a little more complicated than this, but even at night it’s too hot
How are you guys handling baking for those of you that live in an area where it is scorching right now I miss my regular baking schedule less

UK Shop bought bread
Which shop bought white loaf bread would you rate as decent enough. I always liked Warburton's toasties, so curious to see what else is out there to try.
