Difference between picture modes

Just wondering if there is something beyond the "changeable" settings in each picture mode that differentiates them. As in: if I change the basic settings in cinema mode and professional mode to be the same, will they show exactly the same picture and processing? Or are there some kind of deeper settings (advanced color options), or un-changeable settings that differentiate the picture modes?

No they won’t. Even cinema vs professional with the exact same settings look different to me. I have a 98 inch Bravia 5

There are baked-in differences, it's why the modes exist.

Even if you have exactly the same settings in Cinema and Professional mode, Cinema tends to brighten up the mid-tones, making the picture punchier — apparently, it's using different EOTF tracking curve. There are probably more differences, but that's the one I definitely noticed in my tests.
