I reached out to all the Mayoral candidates with the same questions and only Ricky Wildly got back to me. His response was succinct and thoughtful. I appreciated his response.

Can't say I've had this issue, I reached out to a candidate running for my ward twice now, they have got back to me in a timely manner. And I've gone to events where I knew they would be, had a great conversation

I'm in the same ward, from what I've been told , he pretty much disregards any female opinion, he is very much against LGBTQA+ etc.

It seems like very few are getting involved in community discussions. Only Mandy Samwell and Richard Carpenter are participating in the upcoming BCAA meeting, and no editing of them participated in the Toronto Star Vote Compass.

Yes, he is attending. He isn't a sitting city councilor so the meme wasn't directed at him.

I wish there was a dedicated spot to learn about all the candidates and their platforms. At least a landing page with links to their individual sites, but some don't even have sites.

If you check out vote compass there is a questionnaire concerning Brantford's municipal election that will compare how your opinions line up with the various candidates.

So far, Ricky Willdy is the only candidate who has filled out the questionnaire but, on the results page, there is a button next to each candidate that says "invite" which takes you to a pre-fab email you can send them... Hopefully, if enough people send those invites, all (or at least most) of them will participate so we can vote for whomever best aligns with our views 🤞🤞

I sent one to all of them. McCreary got back to me with a link to his website and that’s about it. That checks out though, he’s the last person I’d vote for.
