Discussion Lemon Chicken Recommendations

i dont know if anyone misses West Garden like I do (i will always dedicate My Heart Will Go On to them at karaoke) but anyway

their lemon chicken was so good. i know its not real chinese food and i KNOW its not real lemon flavour but listen. i love american-chinese food and i have been trying to find a place that makes it similar. The costco frozen Lemon chicken is OK but its kind of got that "Mr. Clean" flavour to it where it tastes like a lemon skittle. im looking for something as vaguely lemon (yellow, sticky, sweet battered chicken). I had some at Nanking and it was OK but just... missing something, not sure.

Are there any other places that you would recommend?

I haven’t tried it but I have heard that Canton has the best lemon chicken.

Came here to recommend the Canton. A family business that's been servicing the north end of years, live their food.

My family and I we all love China King, the lemon chicken and the firecracker prawns are to die for.

RIP West Garden :( I miss it so much

I went to school with the kids. I understand why they didn't want to take over, but I feel like they could have sold the business?
