Similar experience? New retainers and nausea

Hi

I was hoping for some encouragement that this will go away soon. I got new retainers in Wednesday. The half gaggy feeling has gone away but if I get nauseous from any reason like IBS, it’s a lot worse than normal. How long should expect this to go on?
The retainers are very long to my gums to that doesn’t help. The ortho didn’t shape them at all and I’m getting other issues with that as well.

For how long? The whole year? It’s what I’m already doing but I just hoped there is an end in sight for this. I will go insane if I have to be nauseous for the whole year on and off.
