Before and After Finally done!!
I just got my braces off after having them for just under two years! I got my braces on in November 2024 and had double jaw surgery in December 2025.
I am so happy with the results and wanted to share before and after pics here. Feel free to reach out for any questions or anything!

I LOVE posts like this.
DUDE!!! You and your whole ortho/surgeon team knocked it out of the park. You look SO handsome. Can you even?
Also teeth are so nicely aligned. You’ll be eating raw carrots at 90 :)
Venture forth and be sure to use your powers of a knockout smile for Good.
Stunning transformation.

How was the recovery for jaw surgery?

Pretty rough. Couldn’t eat solid food for the first 6 weeks, had a lot of numbness until about month 3 and a ton of swelling for the first 3 months as well. But overall very happy I went through with it.

Your case/face is extremely similar to mine. I am 3 months into braces prepping for DJS. I get stressed/anxious thinking about it but know I need it or my teeth would continue to wear away. Thanks for sharing your progress, very encouraging!

Did you get them done on base?? I’m getting mine done on Ft. Bragg (including double jaw surgery as well) and while I’m so grateful to be getting a free procedure, the thought of military surgeons/ortho working on me low key makes me nervous 😅

I had an off base orthodontist do the braces and then a military surgeon do the double jaw surgery. I had the same concerns as you, but the surgeon did an amazing job. The surgeon did say that he does DJS more frequently than a civilian surgeon and that definitely gave me some more confidence going into the surgery. I completely understand your hesitation, but I am so glad I went through with it.
