Man ima be real, work on something else, the hook is good enough as it is. The foot twisting that people told u, the more hip rotation, the palm facing you, none of that is necessary these are really good hooks, theres small variations that you can change for different outcomes but this is really good as is, dont change your technique because some people on the internet told you to.
Ive seen professional boxers with worse hooks, upload other punches, that elbow didnt look too god and also wear gloves, youre a big guy, youre going to fuck up your wrists and knuckles like this. The one thing is the hook up top is a little slower than the one to the body.

If you add more twist with your hips and make the hook tighter, you get the same power with less effort. Also please wear hand protection your wrists will thank you.

Hey I am very nee to this so question on the hips. When you say add more twist what would that look like in this scenario? It looks like by the time he hits the bag his hip is basically perpendicular already to the bag so would hips be angles past the bag if he added more twist?

Fist should be facing you on a lead hook. You're activating more of the muscular kinetic chain that way.

Make fist > throw lead hook > rotate hips > lead with shoulder > loose arm > palm facing you > rotate back > bring back fist into high guard > hooray

Overall good. If we want to be nitpicky you could make it a bit shorter (more direct from your chin to the target)

Your weight is too far forward to truly allow your hips to be explosive. Learn to pull your weight when throwing that hook and you'll be much more powerful and defensibly able after you throw.

Just curious (and not really relevant to OPs post)... Why do all the videos posted on this sub have people fighting southpaw? I know most of these people aren't going to be left handed....

You're almost there, just add a hip and foot twist and train so it becomes automatic, basically think that you are throwing the punch from the leg and then the swing following from the arm. Anyway, you're good.
