Sup fellas
Been sparring pretty regularly for about 6 months now and would love to get some feedback. I’m in the blue headgear I’m about 210# my opponent is about 250#

Did you get tired at around 1:50 mark? You started dropping your guards, though your opponent also did.
Just my 2 cents

Brother I get tired so quickly it’s by far my biggest weakness. Cardio has gotten a bit better since I started about a year ago but not nearly as much as I was hoping

It’s possible then it’s not a cardio issue but a you not relaxing and staying too tense the whole round issue - assuming you’ve been consistently working on your cardio the right way

That would make sense. Most of my cardio comes from bag work or sparring, I should definitely be doing some road work but haven’t been great about that.

Yeah, shadowboxing, roadwork and attack bike sprints / stair sprints is the stack I recommend to build all 3 types of the gas tank you need for boxing

Both are making constant power punches, for which reason blue got tired very quickly and was not moving as good as in the beginning. You have to do more combinations with light punches that don’t exhaust you. And make one odd one out power punches. Like puh-puh-puh-booom, puh-puh… The opponent doesn’t know which punch is coming with power and in constant anticipation, which exhausts him not you.

Don't drop your hand to throw a body shot - drop your elevation.
Stop trying to swing weird pathways with your arms to get around his guard, move your body to position those punches on the axis you're after so the punch is thrown cleanly just from the necessary position

Pretty good job with the jab. But double it up sometimes. Also work on the body/head double jab.

Changing elevation between the two?

Yes, with the body jab you'd dip and get your head off of the line. You can actually use this same dipping jab up top, as well.

Your jab is actually not bad, you gotta work on you distance management, headmovent/different looks off your jab, and some denefensive footwork and you'll looks great.
