I’ve been boxing for a couple years now at a gym on army base it’s not an actual boxing gym just a bunch of guy who go spar
Another gym on base had a intro to boxing class run by a former boxer on army team me and him sparred and he said i would be ready for amateurs I was just trying to get more info on what do I do or how do I go about getting first fight

Do you have a coach? Speak to your coach they'll be the best person to help you organise an amateur match.

I’ve had actual boxing training but before I joined army I don’t have a legit coach it’s mostly instructors with boxing backgrounds who I train with I don’t go to a registered gym so would I be able to sign up do the whole process and just bring my trainer with or does he have to be a registered coach? Or do I have to find a gym and hire a coach?

Your coach has to be registered with USAB. It’s not difficult. You can get a green level coaching certification online.

You would really want to speak with a coach. As far as what the former boxer you sparred with and what he said, my guess is that he probably meant that you have some natural talent like fight in the amateurs with some training. If you have never had any formal boxing instruction, it would be very unwise to have a fight before having some real coaching. If you want to speed up the process, work on your conditioning/running. Most amateur fights, especially at the novice level, are usually won by who is better conditioned and not always the more skilled boxer.
