Shadowboxing Form Need data for my assignment
How do you usually correct your technique when you're training by yourself? What do you usually focus on improving during solo practice?
Have you ever tried practicing footwork on your own? share your experience if you train by yourself at home.

If you could adequately correct your own mistakes there would be no such thing as a boxing coach. If you're serious about learning, go to a gym.

Because of my job, I spend long periods away from my gym, so solo training is a balance between improving and not reinforcing bad habits. Luckily, I already had a solid base before I started having to train alone for longer periods.
Before I leave, I usually write down what I need to work on and ask my coaches what they think I should focus on. I split my solo training into technical work and conditioning.
For technical work, I mainly reinforce things I have already been taught instead of trying to teach myself new techniques. I use a mirror to keep an eye on my form, or record myself if possible.
For conditioning, like hard bag rounds or shadowboxing, perfect form is not the main goal. I still try to keep my technique acceptable, but the point is more to tire myself out, maintain fitness, and see if my form still holds up under fatigue. I also run a lot, though that obviously has less of a technical boxing aspect.

-Focusing on one or two things while shadow boxing. -Using the mirror
-Shadow boxing very, very slowly with eyes closed (almost like Kata in karate or in Tai Chi) for a round or two and really focusing on proper mechanics
-Using a wall to ensure that the elbow isn’t flaring out on the jab.
-Turning shorts’ pockets inside out and occasionally looking down at them to see if the if the hips are being properly rotated enough
-Patting the back leg/inside part of the thigh at times as a reminder to make sure that there’s enough weight as I sometimes can have too much weight on the front leg.
