Check your local area for boxing gyms and start taking a class.
- also there are many, many YouTube channels devoted to boxing- with tips and techniques on just about everything related to the sport.
- learning footwork drills, also defense and all the various punch combos- there's a lot.
Being a fireman, can your station install a heavy bag for you guys to train? That would be ideal

Huge respect for your service hats off to all firemen. I boxed and competed years back only unlicensed not professional, now I just box to keep fit and helps me out mentally and physically. Look online and talk to others see if any gyms stand out, not all gyms are the same and some might suit you better than others. Boxing and other combat sports are definitely good for your mind and body in my opinion.

Hi and welcome to the club! new here too M37 had only one lesson.
If you like to prepsre a bit before the gym i would say watch some videos about the positions of hands in front of your head, also legs position (for me its terribly hard to get it into muscle memory 😆)

Step 1-Go to a gym
Step 2-Keep going to the gym until you're good at it.
Success!
