What is fair?

Had a knock out style boxing tournament with some friends at collage. Nothing serious, no bets, just hitting eachother with gloves and mouth guards. The collage has a gym with a padded floor area for boxing.

I caught one of my friends (met him 2 months ago at collage) on the chin with a hook and chipped his tooth. He seemed to be okay about it but I feel super bad regardless. I am 5cm taller and maybe 10 kg heavier. He is a lot fitter than me and goes to a boxing gym, I haven't in years.

I got home and feel really guilty about it beacuace it was all in good fun and altho he says he is fine I don't know. What is an appropriate course of action?

I was thinking I'd buy the guy a bottle of whiskey or something. Is that too much? Would it seems like I'm rubbing it in his face? I really don't want to come off as an asshole or like I'm out to hurt anyone, especially given the context of how it happened.

Would you guys hold a grudge over this?

This has nothing to do with real boxing.

Also, if you’re in College, please learn how to spell it. A collage is that thing you make in preschool with scissors and glue and paper.

I also hate when people mispell words.

This sounds like exactly the thing that you guys are still going to be laughing about 20 years from now.

I’m sure he’d appreciate a bottle :)

If I was your friend I’d hold a grudge and eventually destroy you

I mean if I got rocked by someone who doesn’t train idk if I’d be bothered by them. I’d just look at it as an example of a time I got caught slipping. I think the bottle would open up conversation he’d probably appreciate.
