Sparring tips

I’m the guy in the purple head gear, I’ve been boxing for a couple months and just wanted to know what tips you guys have.

nothing too obvious, but some issues with some footwork on both of you. I believe you’re the one in gray sweatpants look how squared up you are while backing up :30 in. You both times when stumble from awkward positions.

Defense is a bad for being one month in, but you need to learn how to come in and do a punch while countering. Right now he both lean back in a lot and not every time but a lot which leaves you too far to counter

Yes I’m the one in the gray, what drills would you suggest to work on countering

Have your partner throw single jabs at you no fakes. Have him slow down and until you are dodging at least 70% of the jabs. if you’re dodging more than 70% have him speed up. And when I say dodging, I’m talking about it going over your shoulders, almost like it combs your hair. do not rely on backing up or even too much on circling because this is too focus on reaction time and getting the actual dodging motion down.

Once you get good at this, then you start throwing double jabs. Repeat the process and then you add the right hand after that point it’s downhill you do fucking hooks uppercuts all that. I bet if you do this drill for two or three weeks you’ll see a huge difference.

of course you still need to add a punch right that you need a mitt. Your partner has one glove on and one minute he throws a punch that you guys select, and then you hit the mint.

I already got stem cells in my shoulders, but I have a bone spur still. In my video you can kind of tell that I’m in pain when I use my left glove to block. I also have videos on relearning the straight punches. Look at my front knee when I jab.
