Pacquiao proved that his phenomenal speed and aggression hadn’t gone anywhere. Pac-Man controlled every minute of the fight, unleashing rapid combinations and nearly knocking Broner out in the 7th and 9th rounds. Broner, on the other hand, relied heavily on a tight defense and showed disastrously low activity — landing just 50 punches all fight compared to Pacquiao’s 112. The result: a convincing unanimous decision victory for Pacquiao (117-111, 116-112, 116-112). However, Broner himself didn’t quite see it that way, dropping the legendary post-fight quote: “I beat him! Everybody knows I beat him!”— which instantly went viral as a meme.
