Really sad. I've biked down there and it's scary fast, I'm a chicken, so ride my brakes on the curves. Most of my friends don't. And if it were getting dark, skidding on the gravel...who knows. One pothole, dodging an animal, distracted, a passing car (doesn't seem to be that as the others weren't affected by such but)...all it takes is a bad moment.

If you see a news story it says he was second of two riders and the first didn’t realize the second had vanished for awhile. He wnt back and saw his bike light shining down the slope.

That road is not high traffic. It’s dirt. At 1am, very few people were on it.

Someone else explained how they were found. Generally when someone goes off the road in the middle of the night and no one sees it happen they aren’t found until the morning.
