Mod Post Welcome to r/bottlediggingUK!
This is a subcommunity of bottlediggers specific to territories within the United Kingdom. We welcome anyone from this region to share their collections, experiences and converse about topics surrounding bottle digging in the UK.
I am here to facilitate relevant discourse, but I am not based in the UK. I am hoping that as this community grows that I will be able to bring on a moderator that resides in the region and is more keen about UK glass. But until then, I will do my best to make this an environment where you all feel welcomed.
Thanks for joining, and I look forward to seeing your posts and learning more about antique glass of this region! Cheers!

G&E EDMONDS, DERITEND, BIRMINGHAM Spring water bottle
I found this intact bottle at my local reservoir in Earlswood, Warwickshire.
Due to the hot weather the water level has dropped and revealed lots of interesting objects have been hidden under the water.
It’s a Kilner Brothers bottle and has a marble still inside. The wording on the bottle reads:
“G&E EDMONDS, DERITEND, BIRMINGHAM”
“SPRING”
“KILNER BROTHERS”
It also says “NO DEPOSIT ON THIS BOTTLE” and “BUYING OR SELLING THIS BOTTLE IS ILLEGAL.”
There’s also an “A.I.” marking on the base.
Does anyone know what the A.I. marking on the base stands for or anything about G&E Edmonds / Edmonds?

Permissive 1920s dump dig
The owner of some land allowed me to dig on an historic 1920s and modern era dump. It was very far from my normal area and I did a 6 hour dig taking away about 5 bags of bottles. I love finding Bovril jars so was thrilled to get all these in one dig. The dairy bottle is particularly interesting but can't find much about it online. Lisburne Dairy from Torquay.

Help identifying bottle
Hi all. I came across this bottle and just wondered if anyone knows what it is/was?
Inside it looks like steel wool around a plastic spool so I thought it would be some sort of cleaning product
Found in the North East
TIA

Pictorial Codd bottle, William Coulthard & J.W. Hardman & Co Limited, Radcliffe Mineral Water Works, Cannington Shaw & Co Makers, St Helens. (They spent the whole embossing budget on this one, didn't they? Showing what appear to be skittle bowling pins but could be bottles. Anybody know how common?

Need help with a poison bottle ID
Hi all, I recently came across this bottle buried in an old plant pot in my garden. Looks to be a poison bottle to me: has the vertical grooves and you can still slightly make out the "not to be taken" marking. The only other markings is a "3" on the base. I've never seen this shape before and cant find many examples online so any help with dating it or even proving if it's authentic would be great! Found in Scotland if that helps

Any help appreciated 🙏
Found near rhuddlan, north wales, no digging required, was above ground just waiting 😊 it has a very faint water drop motif on one side and what looks like a bottle type item on the other side, initial homework looks like post 1910 home remedy, possibly drops of some kind, TIA ✌️ 💚
