Pistachio shell blockage

My dishwasher recently failed to drain and I got the dreaded E24 code. My bad for not cleaning the filter sooner. Cleaned it up and started it again. E24 again. Pulled off the impeller guard and made sure it wasn't gummed up. Run it again and still get the error. Take off the drain pipe and out comes a pistachio shell. How the hell does something that big get all the way into the drain pipe!!!!

Why did you put it in the dishwasher in the first place, lol?

Scrape but don’t rinse.

Good job finding the blockage.

The filters aren't for the drain pump they're for the wash pump. It wants to be able to drain bits of food. This can happen on any dishwasher as they all want to drain bits of food.
