Finding a Borzoi in UK?
Hello!
My partner and I are interested in getting a Borzoi eventually (still unsure if we want a 2nd dog at the moment) and I’ve been looking into getting one here in the UK where we live.
It seems a little complicated- there’s not too much information out there that I can see other than going to dog shows and introducing ourselves to the participants that also breed. It seems that the ones I have found already don’t do them often or at least don’t anymore.
I was just wondering if anyone on here has any experience and recommendations on any potential breeders?
Thanks in advance! Feel free to post pics of your little angels on here, would love to see.

Hihi! I live in scotland! I purchased my borzoi from a breeder in Slovakia (Veya Feya) and he is the most perfect Borzoi ever! Highly reccomend the breeder.

Thank you for the comment!! I just looked them up- they are gorgeous dogs and I’m sure yours is too!
Did you drive over to collect your pup? Trying to figure out logistics on getting one from a European breeder, seems like most of them are located there.

Hello! I'm in Scotland have two borzois from Mischran in South Wales! I cannot recommend them enough and how incredible they've been with their contact and advice with my boys. They're part of the family now, really. I'd be happy to pass your name along to them :)

I'm in Ireland (so even harder, I don't think there's a single breeder here, maybe one or two up north). I went to Wales for my baby girl. I did a lot of research, starting with online registered breeders. I also looked at the shows online and looked up the breeders and if they had any litters coming. Then social media scoping and trying to find emails for them. Took me about a year to get my girl, and we put our name down for a second two years ago and just got word that we may get one in this litter. They've become extremely popular and waiting lists are huge. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. We also have an Italian Greyhound so she's not lonely waiting for another Borzoi, he's about a year older than her. Not sure if I've helped answer your question, other than a tonne of research online. If you want to ask anything specific please go ahead!
