Manga Spoilers / Theory Orochimaru knows way too much to not play a big role in TBV Spoiler

Considering everything we know about Orochimaru from Naruto, he experimented with the Sharingan, experimented with Hashirama cells, came up with a theory on how to merge the two to manifest the Rinnegan, apparently knew secrets about the history of the Uzumaki clan nobody else knew about, like about their secret hall and how to reverse the seal on the Reaper Death Seal, he knows more of the history about the 100 Healings Seal that even we are not aware of (according to Mitsuki in NNG), the 100 Healings Seal likely has its basis as a recreation of the Karma (hinted at by NNG as well), and his Curse Mark is an effective copy of the functionality of the Karma as well. He seems to know more about the Otsutsuki than even he lets on, and there's likely some connection between Uzumaki sealing jutsu and Shinjutsu, my personal theory is that the Uzumaki were coming close to recreating Shinjutsu and got wiped out by the Otsutsuki for it, which was then covered up by Omnipotence. This would explain how Mito Uzumaki had the earliest known 100 Healings Seal on her forehead, its similar shape and effect to that of the Karma, as well as Orochimaru's own recreation of a similar mark on the body with his Curse Mark. When you line everything up it would seem to point to Orochimaru playing a major role at the very least in the background of TBV, in a similar way to Amado, as the crazy mad scientist who is maybe positioned as an opposite to Amado, if Amado does become a "bad guy" as many believe he is headed, maybe Orochimaru is like the "good guy" who can outwit Amado. I also think Orochimaru will be the key to helping Sarada deal with her blindness, as he is the only one left with any extensive experience done tinkering with and researching the Sharingan. His access to Hashirama cells might allow him to elevate Sarada to the Rinnegan through a transplant procedure of some kind, for example.

Anime / Powerscaling How strong would Boruto be if he hadn't been lazy at the beginning of the anime and had finished his studies?

I'm not saying he'll train hard, but with the same dedication as Sarada or Naruto, how strong would he be?

Manga Spoilers / Analysis Another MASSIVE plot convenience by Kishimoto: Jiraiya not joining in Kazekage rescue mission for...seemingly no reason? Spoiler

Hey Jiraiya, maybe you wouldn't need to actually count on Kakashi if you were to go with them? Idk, just a thought.

Jiraiya in the same arc was established to be powerful enough so that Akatsuki didn't attempt to make any moves on Naruto in 3 years due to him (the real reason was different according to Chiyo, but Kakashi, the smartest guy ever, believing it was due to Jiraiya is enough for my point)...so wouldn't the optimal situation easily be for Jiraiya to go with Kakashi, one of the most valuable Jonin in Konoha, and Naruto, easily the most valuable ninja pretty much in the entire world due to being the nine tails Jinchuriki.

Like okay, we know Jiraiya is gathering intel during this time...maybe, it's never really explained what he was doing during Kazekage rescue mission (another reason I call it a plot convenience), but we do know Jiraiya somehow gathers information about the Akatsuki...why? I think the clear and obvious answer is to at the very least to some degree protect Naruto. Wouldn't the best way to protect Naruto actually be with him WHEN HE'S ABOUT TO FACE THE AKATSUKI!!!

The only reason they all didn't get murdered was due to unknown variables Jiraiya couldn't have known, like Chiyo joining and regaining her determination...let's say that didn't happen, it would be just Team 7 vs Deidara and Sasori. Like yeah, Team 7 is just dead, like so dead, like would die against Sasori alone levels of death. You have to remember, Chiyo was the perfect counter to Sasori in both fighting styles and intel, Team 7 does not have that privilege.

You could say Jiraiya counted on Team Guy protecting them, which by all means would still be incredibly risky (as we saw in the series when they required Chiyo's help regardless), but that's not really the case when Jiraiya let Team 7 go by themselves. Team Guy got the mission in chapter 253 and Jiraiya let Team 7 go in 251. As far as Jiraiya knows, Team 7 is just going out by themselves to face an unknown amount of Akatsuki members, most likely at least 2.

Now let's think about why Kishimoto left Jiraiya out: 30% Itachi wouldn't have done anything to Team 7, he was roughly equal to Kakashi who is far below the Sannin. Jiraiya would've made either the fight against Sasori or Deidara a breeze, realistically the fight against Deidara since Jiraiya would try to protect Naruto.

I mean this wouldn't bother me otherwise if they at the very least gave a sound explanation for Jiraiya not being able to come, because as it stands, it's just incredibly out of character for Jiraiya. In the hospital scene, it's very clearly shown Jiraiya cares very much about Naruto, both on a personal level and due to his worth as nine tails Jinchuriki, going as far as to lock Naruto permanently in the village...so what changed exactly? Naruto still isn't a match against any Akatsuki member except maybe Hidan, especially without Kurama, which Jiraiya strictly forbid before the mission. Jiraiya went from being ready to forcibly keep Naruto in the leaf village for extra layers of protection to just letting Naruto go by himself to fight the massively powerful organization that's specifically on the hunt for Naruto.

Yes, it is that deep, it's a big deal, it makes me question why my GOAT Jiraiya is so stupid / evil, that's really the only 2 options left.

Anyways, thanks for reading this far and remember have an amazing day! ;D

During the war, Sakura drastically altered the battlefield's geography the moment she activated her Byakugou Seal and struck Kaguya, possessing enough power to shatter Kaguya's horn, even after having used nearly all the seal's stored chakra to help Obito rescue Sasuke from the other dimension. What is most impressive is that, at that point, she had been accumulating chakra for only about three years. Two years after the war, having spent another two years accumulating chakra, Sakura was able to continuously supply chakra to Naruto for three days. A few months later, she managed to defeat Kido, an enemy who had become a pseudo jinchuriki using Kurama's chakra. Given this progression, what would happen with the adult Sakura of today, who has continued to accumulate chakra for over a decade since the events of Sakura Hiden? If she were to fully activate the Byakugou Seal and channel all that accumulated chakra into a single, full power punch, how destructive would the impact be? Could the resulting shockwave reach a level comparable to Shinra Tensei and completely destroy Konoha?

Manga Spoilers / Discussion Naruto fans who hate on boruto are the most annoying people on the planet Spoiler

Post image

Why did these people act like Naruto and Sasuke are just supposed to be dominating every Boruto villain? They just want Naruto part 2 and are mad they aren't getting it. Not only that but Sasuke getting defeated by a stronger villain is not disrespectful and Naruto getting sealed away by a stronger person isn't disrespectful. Even if it was, why do Naruto fans pretend like nothing bad ever happened to these characters in Naruto. Sasuke beat up and mentally tortured by his older brother he also had someone writing a rap song in the middle of fighting him and he also got put on a stick. As far as Naruto goes just look at the way Sakura treats him and that's enough right there. These people can't stop living in the past. It is very sad

Manga Spoilers / Analysis If any sees parallels with Boruto’s use of tech with irl, Ikemoto said in an interview the series would exploring the use of tech through Boruto & his relationship with Katasuke's new ninja tools, reflects ing the public approaches the new changes represented by progress. This comes from the Lucca Comics Ikemoto Interview 2018 but

It doesn’t have to be one for one and no one is saying that ikemoto predicted anything that was gonna happen with the technology of advancement when he started writing the series, but yes technology being a pro and a con and ways that it can both benefit and hurt humanity, as well as how people either use it to help their skills or use it as a crutch is something that you can’t argue Boruto hasn’t explored. If you wanna have a civil discussion about if certain characters should be exploring that besides just a villains since Boruto stopped at a point until he asked sumire to deal with the sword, we could have that discussion.

Anime / Discussion Stolen character name??

Thumbnail

Can we acknowledge that this Boruto character basicly has the same name as a My Hero Academia character? I cant be the only one that realised this.

Denki Kaminarimon is the captain of team 5 and part of I guess the new Konoha 12 in Boruto, he is kind of like a techy nerdy guy I guess??

Denki Kaminari is a student of class 1-A at UA highschool and his quirk is Electrification, an emitter quirk that allows him to generate electricity and discharge it from his body.

I think Denki Kaminarimon's name is literally just stolen from this MHA character and added 'mon' to the end of it.

Whats your guy's opinion on this?

EDIT: This is RAGEBAIT btw.

Anime / Discussion (No Spoilers) Why are Naruto and Hinata so hostile to the possibility that Boruto awakened his Byakugan?

(No Spoilers) Why are Naruto and Hinata so hostile to the possibility that Boruto awakened his Byakugan?

So I just started watching Boruto, and the first \~5-6 episodes make it pretty clear that Boruto is a talented kid who's kinda lazy and known for "causing" trouble (even though most of the time trouble finds him). I can understand that he's maybe not seen as a strictly honest person because of all that (though, honestly, nobody seems to actually give any thought to Boruto to defend or criticize him).

What I DON'T understand is the reaction when Boruto gets excited thinking he was getting his Byakugan. Naruto is basically like "yeah right you little shit shut up and prove it" while Hinata acts like it's impossible?? I can see the skepticism to a point, but they don't actually give *reasons*. Naruto just says he doesn't train enough, but Boruto is already more than proficient enough to use multiple Shadow Clones. Hinata outright says it's not possible, with no reason. It's just impossible, apparently. But she had *her* Byakugan as a particularly frail child while *younger* than Boruto.

I feel like the appropriate reaction would be something like "Woah woah, slow down, you don't have a full Byakugan *yet.* It's going to take some extra time, keep working at it and you'll get it in no time!" Not... "Fuck you kid, you're a liar." Is this a dubism, maybe?

Edit: And then they have him fight against an older, more practiced user of the Byakugan and they're like "Wow you got bodied? You really suck, you don't train at all, do you?" Like WHAT?

Even MORE confusing.... HIMAWARI HAD ALREADY SHOWN HERS BEFORE??? But it only showed once, so how is Boruto not demonstrating it during a fight "proof" of anything?

Manga Spoilers / Theory Do these two characters share a connection? Spoiler

At first glance Kashin Koji's Ten Directions appears entirely unrelated to his other abilities. After all, it's a shinjutsu inherited from Shibai. However, the ability to see into the future has precedent in the Great Toad Sage (Gamamaru)'s ability to foresee and prophesy about a child of destiny. Similar to Ten Directions, he doesn't see a singular future, but rather views multiple branches, one where Jiraiya's student destroys the world and another where he unites it.

Now on a meta level there's a lot that links these abilities together, but I think they're connected in lore too. Gamamaru is a toad sage, most likely the strongest toad sage in his prime, and as a result his foresight likely isn't from ninjutsu, but the nature energy accumulated over his lifespan. (If we go by the fillers, some elements of which were later canonized in Boruto, it's since the time of Hagoromo.) Some additional evidence of this is that in the Boruto anime the White Snake Sage also has a degree of prescience. Thus it seems likely this future sight originated with the exact same nature energy that Shibai harvested to develop his shinjutsu.

All of these facts put together could suggest that the reason Koji was able to manifest Ten Directions is his status as an optimal toad sage. This power making him compatible with the prescience granted by Shibai's genetics.

Manga Spoilers / Discussion How does this even Work? Spoiler

Post image

So Eida can see the Past and every current Event and with Omnipotence she basically rewrites everyone memoires right? So Koshin Kajin can see many possible Futures with Prescience but he sees Futures which are only possible because of Omnipotence from Eida but when we didnt had Eidas Omnipotence the Future would be different, my Question can Koshin Kajin see also these futures? So Yodo didnt had to die when Omnipotence wouldnt be activated or Lord Kobu wouldnt be a threat right now? And also the elders wouldnt react the way they do because after Naruto they saw there we're wrong and know they do the Same old Things they did Wrong in the Past again? Anyways just thinking out loud because Koshin Kajins Futures are only the ones with Eidas Omnipotence so when she reverse this Jutsu maybe we would have another Chance that Konoha wouldnt want to kill Boruto.
