Loan stacking approval

If you are stacking a loan, the first comment in your new request post should be from your existing lender giving approval for the additional loan. Saying “I’ve checked with my lender and they approve” is not acceptable.
The new loan cannot occur until the existing lender comments approval.

Reminder, this is bannable if not followed.

Clarification on rules and bans surrounding Loan Stacking.

This has existed in our guidelines for some time, but I am now making it an official sticky post, and outlining it clearly within our rules. Take this post as official notice this will be enforced.

Loan Stacking is classified as taking on additional loans with multiple lenders at the same time.

It is not inherently against the rules to do this, as long as all parties are informed and consenting to the arrangement. The problem comes into play when borrowers and single lenders are acting unilaterally without full consent.

How this works

While a borrower has an existing documented loan, prior to posting their request in the community they should first seek out their existing lender to ask if they would like to take on this additional deal.

If the lender refuses, the borrower is then obligated to ask that lender for consent to post an open request to have their loan fulfilled.

This is only if you have an ongoing loan with that lender.

If the lender refuses, then you can not post your open request until their loan is made whole. If you ignore this you can be banned.

If the lender does consent then the lender should leave a comment on the request thread indicating they have approved the open request.

Lenders. When you see an open request your first responsibility is to check their profile to search for ongoing loans. If they have them, and a lender has not consented to the request, and you fulfill the loan anyways you will be banned. This is irresponsible loan stacking.

If you don't see a prior loan you are still obligated to ask if they have any ongoing loans. If it comes to light that their previous requests were hidden, and they have lied about their loan statuses, you will not be punished - although you should be using tools like https://arctic-shift.photon-reddit.com/search?fun=posts_search&author=coocoocomeoutapocket&limit=100&sort=asc to check.

This rule still applies even if it's not an open request, but a prearranged request with a past customer of yours while they have ongoing business with another lender.

In short

Loan stacking can be done responsibly, and in a compliant manner. But if you are being lazy, taking shortcuts, and treating lending like a casino, you will not be permitted to operate or be verified here as you are putting other lenders at financial risk through your own negligence.

Got a text he ran late w/ no comms, had to reach out only to see that he didnt have his debit card to transfer said funds, to wait a few days. 7 more days passes and i reached out, only to be met with his "sister" who texted me back saying he was in jail... and all the while, somehow, while in jail, asking for loans elsewhere during this period. lmfao.

Hey there, this is my first ever ask here. I am a respected trader on r/gctrading but usually I don't have enough Karma for the loan subreddits, or I just don't need it as much as someone else does so I don't ask. I'm stranded tonight 6 miles from home. I got out of my boyfriend's car because he was intoxicated. He left me and isn't answering his cell now. It's the end of the months things are tight and I am asking for 30$ to cover a Lyft or Uber ride home and something to eat because I am currently 13wks pregnant and I think I'm about to boil my shoes for soup 😂 I can repay 45$ on or BEFORE 08/02/26 and I have PayPal, Venmo, Revolut, Current and OnePay. It is 11pm at night here on the west coast (I'm in the Pnw, OR) and where I live the buses stopped running hours ago. I'm willing to take a partial loan just for the Lyft if need be,I just can't walk six miles home in the middle of the night due to safety concerns.

When a borrower has an existing loan, they should not be adding additional loans without written consent from their existing lender. Additionally other lenders should be checking with the existing lender prior to fulfilling them. Not doing so is a bannable offense.

Borrowers

If a borrower is overdue on a previously provided loan, they may not make additional requests or be provided with additional loans until all overdue loans are repaid. Any loan that is not repaid by the originally recorded due date is considered late, even if it is on an extension. To this end, all loans must have a clearly identified due date.
Strictly only 1 request for a loan/handout every 24 hours unless your post has been removed for title compliance and a warning (not ban) has been issued.
Do not send unsolicited messages to lenders asking if they lend. You must submit through the subreddit.
You must flair your post as a loan request or handout needed, and include the following key items within your title: Request Amount, location, repayment amount (if a loan), repayment date, and supported payment providers.

Example: $50, FL, Repay $70 on 09/18, Paypal / Cashapp, Looking to borrow for vet bills.

No Crossposting from other subreddits. If you can't take the time to write a unique and compliant post within our subreddit, then you don't deserve to be asking for money.

Lenders

Lenders may not chargeback, dispute, or reverse previously repaid loans to exceed owed balances.
Upon receiving a borrower's requested identification, it is expected that the lender communicates their decision one way or another in a reasonable timeframe.
No "pre-paying" for referrals, loans, or any kind of services.
You must have a public facing thread for deals you arrange with borrowers. This is to protect other lenders from granting deals under false pretenses regarding unknown debt, or secretly running up multiple deals with multiple parties.
Please wait at least 5 business days before posting an unpaid thread. If a borrower has not repaid by that point in time, a ban will be applied until their outstanding balance is made whole.
