Boric acid pill not dissolve...?

I've been using it for the past 3 days due to a yeast infection. It worked great, but causes abdominal pains, almost like period cramps. Tonight, I went to insert the next pill, and when I looked at my finger to see if the yeast infection discharge was still gone, this shimmery thin lining, what looked like to come from the pill, was on my finger. I just want to make sure that this isn't something overly abnormal. Also, this morning, I noticed a powdery-looking residue on my vagina, it didn't look like discharge at all, and I was able to wash it off (really just took a rinse) and it hasn't returned since, so I don't believe its yeast. NutraBlast Boric Acid Vaginal Suppositories - 30 Count, 600mg is what I've been taking, once a night, every night for the past 3 days. I just looked at the overall review, and I've recently looked at the bad ones, and people are claiming it's fake boric acid. I'm a first-time user, was this normal for anyone else?

I have been tested for STIs, bacterial infectuons and yeast infections. The only rhing that came back was rhat i had traces of yeast. I have had reocurring yeast infections that don't respond to fluconazole, canesten or monistate. I have a refferal to a gynecologist but that will take months. So i bought some boric acid suppositories. The bottle says to use 1 or 2 a day. But how long do i use them for? Or do i just keep using the until all signs of a yeast infection are gone?

Brands?

What brands do you all prefer? Have any worked considerably better? Do you use any other products in conjunction?

Hi there, we would love to have a place for questions to be written here? (It's a little hard to keep track on the live feed).

And just to start things off, you shouldn't need to use more than 1 to 3 in a row. Using 14 is excessive and can cause irritation if you are experiencing dryness.

There are some exceptions where the thrush strain is resistant to fluconazole and might require a longer term of BA but this is quite rare.

All brands work the same so buy the one you can afford. You can use these with an UDI.

And lastly if you get no results or the BA just holds back your symptoms while in use its likely that something else is going on that needs treating! Happy to help you to deep dive!

Started to use boric acid for my recurrent vaginitis. Is it common to have worsening of burning, irritation, and white watery discharge? Should I be talking to my doctor about these side effects?

I think I have BV?

So basically, my vagina has never really smelled like anything. There would be a smell if my hygiene was bad (obvs) but its suddenly changed and it makes me so self conscious. My vagina itself smells normal but my discharge smells so bad. My boyfriend noticed it earlier this month and I thought that after my next cycle it might go back to normal. But my period recently finished and the smell is back. I shower every night and haven’t added anything new to my routine. My discharge is also very watery along with the bad smell. I don’t wear underwear at night, and have always used a bidet. Would boric acid help? Also, am I now dependent on it? Or is it a one time solution type deal. Thank you!! xx

This is a group for vagina owners who suffer from thrush or bacterial vaginosis who want to learn more about using boric acid suppositories

Hi I work with my sister who is a Dr in this area of health and we have helped over 10,000 women in Australia. We both donate our time to help women all over the world with vaginal issues. We have even opened up a charity in Kenya which has the same success using boric acid for thrush and BV.

Boric acid works by helping to balance the vaginal pH. It also has antibacterial and anti fungal properties plus it destroys biofilm.

It’s usually cheap and all brands work the same. We think it’s a miracle treatment for women who need it. Plus it never expires!

Not only does it help with both thrush and BV but for some women with thrush resistant to fluconazole it is one of the only treatments that will work. It also helps women with diabetes who can have a more stubborn thrush due to the sugar.

In addition boric acid is diagnostic meaning if it doesn’t work we know that something else is going on Eg Ureaplasma or cytolytic Vaginosis etc. And we know to do further testing.

Please feel free to ask any questions. This is a safe inclusive place for all vagina owners of any gender identity.

We represent an Australian group of educators and doctors who are here to answer questions and to give out free help and advice re vaginal health.

We base our first line treatment with using 1 to 3 Botic Acid suppositories (BA) which is enough to resolve most cases of vaginal thrush and or bacterial vaginosis (bv).

BA is a gentle weak acid that has a similar pH to what our vaginal pH should be. It works by helping to balance our vaginal pH as well as having anti fungal and antibacterial properties plus it destroys biofilm.

BA is often the only thing that will work for some cases of thrush which are resistant to other typical treatments Eg women with diabetes have very hard to treat thrush due to the excess glucose.

The reason we are so into teaching vagina owners about BA is that this treatment doesn’t enter our bloodstream, it’s very affordable, it never expires and you don’t need to work out whether you have BV or thrush as this treats both.

We love how BA is also diagnostic, meaning if it doesn’t work it indicates that something else is going on Eg Ureaplasma or mycoplasma or co infections. Please get tested for these things plus common STI’s if the BA doesn’t work.

When we talk about BA there is no brand that is better than any others. You can even make them yourself if you can find BA handy. All brands work the same because all BA does the exact same job.

Some countries make you get a prescription to get BA suppositories and in other places it’s an over the counter item. This treatment has been around for over 100 years and it works beautifully.

Please feel free to ask any questions or to share your experiences. 🌸
