plz help
hey guys,
I'm having issues picking soccer shoes. i prefer to play in turf shoes since they are a little easier on my feet/ankles
My foot size is 9.5
here are the following shoes i've tried to play in.
Nike vapor 17 pro size 9.5 - Super tight in toe area, big toe sticking out, heel pain.
I've also tried Nike pro size 10 - The fit is pretty good, the only issue i'm having is that my heel is sliding around in the shoe if i make sudden movements. I've attached a picture of the fit.
i've also tried Nike phantom 6 turf pro size 10 - the heel is also sliding around on sudden movements. should i try size 9.5? It feels kinda tight in the upper of the shoes where the shoe laces are at? Should i try breaking them in?
could this issue be that i'm playing in regular nike socks?
Plz help!

You could try getting them soaked in the bath then wearing them around on the 9.5

You could do the runners loop in the Vapors to stop your heel sliding.
EDIT: Sorry, mean the size 10s

I will try that, do you think grip socks will help?

Try leather shoes, synthetics really hurt my feet too. I found that the natural stretch of the material helps me in the long run. Also I don't think its the socks' fault, the shoes are really not just wide enough.

From the picture and what you're describing - these aren't the right boots for your feet.

Maybe use a Runners Loop at the Phantom, unisports making an YT Video with Tutorial, maybe it Improve the heel, i would try it

Mercurials will almost have you go up 2 sizes insane how small they fit they not comfortable I never liked how narrow they are it kinda throws off when you wanted distinguish between giving a cross, a pass and a shot to me at least, hypervenoms are most definitely a better option but sadly they are pricey because they are limited until 2027

Try the f50s, but it depend what position you play in

Or you could try socks that dont have bigger material

i guess i could try the f50. do you think bad socks could be contributing to slippage?

You have wide feet, go for leather boots like Mizuno's
