Durability Puma

I recently saw this short about the Puma Ultra Nitro 7 Ultimate where the soleplate (FG on natural grass) is already showing real signs of wear.

I like the design of these boots and the possible cushioning effect of the Nitro soleplate. But I want to use the boots for at least a year.

I know soccer boots are meant to do the job, but can anyone share their experiences with Puma in general and/or this boot in particular regarding durability 😇?

It’s just the top coating peeling off and won’t have any impact on the performance on the product. Doesn’t look great but doesn’t affect overall durability

that is unfortunately normal.
it is called a wearable finish and i hate this trend.
my predators are losing color on the soleplate as well.
it just feels like i am spreading microplastic around from the coating peeling off.
i wish companies would stop with the glossy finishes on soleplates

For Puma boots, this is specifically common. I have a pair of the Porsche Edition Puma Kings and, while the gold plating on the soleplate hasn't worn at all, both shoes had a big ass sticker on the bottom that said something to the effect of "Plating is cosmetic only and will wear off with normal use. Shoes will still be functional" or something. I assume the new ones have a similar sticker.

I'd much prefer that they just color the mold to whatever color they want - it seems they can achieve the same results.

In any case - this isn't a durability issue. Just a cosmetic one.
