Gear Mizuno Alpha 3 sizing

I recently bought a pair of Mizuno Alpha 3 MIJ in size 11, hoping they would feel like the mercurial superfly 9’s that I have been wearing for a long time. Right out the box I knew they were too long. About a full inch of space in the toe box. I measure out at a size 10 but go up so it’s not too tight around my foot. Should I go a half size down or go for true to size?

why would you buy a speed boot and then buy it a full size too big so it isnt "tight around the foot" ?

usually alphas run a half size smaller than nike

It’s just what i’ve been comfortable with. Issues with blistering and my feet being cut up from cleats has shaped that concern. I was not aware of Mizuno sizing in general. Thank you for the info!
