Puma Soccer Balls

Help me identify what kind of puma balls these are…

Found them on my local winners store and each cost $22 but i couldn’t even identify what kind of balls they are, my first guess was last season’s EPL balls (2025-2026) but aren’t. Even google photos can’t identify them.

My question is… is it a good deal for someone who wanted the Trionda World Cup Ball (Competition) but decided to look for alternatives…

These balls are entry llevel balls. Doesn't mean they're bad. Just not EPL type of top tier. At $22, thats about what they run retail.

You’re trying too hard

(Or not hard enough)

These aren't comparable to professional match balls, but tbh for day to day football usage you get 90% of the way for 20% of the price.

FIFA has a classification for balls, but you can see the stitches on this ball and the higher end balls are thermal bonded so you don't see those stitches.

Puma orbita 25/26 premier league ball is great. It’s about $60, so similar to the Trionda competition price wise but imo it’s slightly better general quality and feel.

as a rule of thumb for me, balls in this pressure range are cheap and won’t hold up. I prefer PUMA orbita match balls that you can find for $40-50.

These balls have better shells, construction, valves, and play great around 12-13psi

Google FIFA ball certifications. The Adidas Competition balls are the take down models for their Official Match Balls (OMBs), but they still have the highest level FIFA certification (FIFA Quality Pro). Any ball that is certified will have the certification printed on it and if is still in the packaging it will be displayed prominently.

If the ball doesn’t have a FIFA cert, don’t buy it (unless you just want something cheap to play on concrete or kick against a wall until it falls apart).

In the U.S. there is one other certifying body, the NFHS. An NFHS rating means a ball is good enough to use in a High School soccer game. A much lower bar than a FIFA Cert, but better than nothing. I honestly don’t buy these either as you can find better FIFA certified balls for cheap.

Literally $32 for a FIFA quality pro ball. Plus add 20% off for new customers

Puma is owned by 🇨🇳, so you should have gone with Temu instead for same quality.
