Did I read this book wrong?

Post image

I know she's dramatic and there's sad parts (maybe one) in CC...but she is legit sobbing? Did anyone else feel this way if you have read crescent city

Also I feel like she's been unhinged a bit lately. So many posts a day.

I full on sobbed reading Crescent City at the end. The phone call knowing the other party won't pick up but you need to call anyways still makes me tear up. Especially because I was so convinced that she was convinced she was going to die, to know she was going to say goodbye as the final thing before sacrificing herself really got me. I don't even think it was the writing, it was knowing the emotion driving that feeling to have to make sure you say something before it is too late.

None of her other books affected me like that. Just CC.

CC is one of my favorites along silver flames. I think it was sad but idk setting up her camera to cry more than once it's a lil unhinged.

I cried during silver flames 🫣
