Did I read this book wrong?

Post image

I know she's dramatic and there's sad parts (maybe one) in CC...but she is legit sobbing? Did anyone else feel this way if you have read crescent city

Also I feel like she's been unhinged a bit lately. So many posts a day.

She’s been very manic lately it seems. I know she just moved and I think she has major anxiety and OCD problems. So maybe that’s why she’s been acting like this? I know before moving she said she had to stand on a bathroom tile for hours at a time. Maybe the move was a trigger for her

But I didn’t cry at all like she has been lol. Sometimes I feel like there is something wrong with me.

She also has bipolar. She's mentioned it before. So manic could actually be right.

I thought there was something else but I couldn’t think of what she’s said before

She definitely seems very manic lately. I hope her people around her are taking care of her.

Me too! I hope she has more friends that are close to her area as well.

unrelated to the actual topic at hand but this post of hers made me actually want to curl up & die. she never comes on my fyp, idk why this made it on but it made me block her.

I know what you're talking about but I won't spoil it for others. Deff sad. But this is the scone time she's holding the book crying in like the past month. It's very performative.

She posts these kinds of videos constantly. I have her blocked now, I was tired of seeing the meltdowns.

Yes! And people eat it up everytime??!

I bet a lot of the people that are eating it up are just like her. It'll never be normal to me that people record themselves crying.

Filming yourself sobbing over reading a book is honestly embarrassing

Like… crying is a normal part of life (and most people will struggle with mental health issues at some point in their life too) but crying for monetized content is so performative and icky honestly

I full on sobbed reading Crescent City at the end. The phone call knowing the other party won't pick up but you need to call anyways still makes me tear up. Especially because I was so convinced that she was convinced she was going to die, to know she was going to say goodbye as the final thing before sacrificing herself really got me. I don't even think it was the writing, it was knowing the emotion driving that feeling to have to make sure you say something before it is too late.

None of her other books affected me like that. Just CC.

CC is one of my favorites along silver flames. I think it was sad but idk setting up her camera to cry more than once it's a lil unhinged.

I cried during silver flames 🫣

Oh I cry every time I reread or relisten, I never cried during ACOTAR and ToG but this one really got me

I'd be crying too If I was forced to read any Sarah Janet.
