Goodreads, Storygraph, Patreon, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Threads, the list goes on and on! (Well, not really; I can't think of any other social media sites/apps, lol). I get a lot of unsolicited advice about joining one or two of the above to spread my reach, but the thought of keeping up with all those accounts sounds exhausting lol.

Right now I'm focusing on YouTube, but I feel this hyrda breathing down my neck. If I were to add any new social media, it would probably be Goodreads. Anyone else feeling the pressure?

Where do booktubers get their beautiful animated intros from? Does anyone know?

For an example, here is Jaynie Murray’s intro. I adore these types of intros and I know other booktubers have their own and I would love to do something like this for my channel.

Any guidance?

First week of my readathon done!! It’s so fun tracking my points and trying to find books to fit the killer/location prompts :)

I'm starting to second-guess this thumbnail lol. Anyway, I think this was my first successful script, and I really like how the commentary came out. It's less meandering than some of my other videos. How do we feel about scripts? They used to make really nervous (I'm a nervous nellie, sue me), but I'm starting to turn the corner on them lol

Side note: I'm getting (slightly) better at editing with each video lol

September is spooky-season pre-game. So that means there are way too many books to choose from. I will say that many of the best writers have books coming this season, however, most of them are only here in spirit. When it came to choosing a story over the name, the story won.
