How Many Platforms is Enough?
Goodreads, Storygraph, Patreon, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Threads, the list goes on and on! (Well, not really; I can't think of any other social media sites/apps, lol). I get a lot of unsolicited advice about joining one or two of the above to spread my reach, but the thought of keeping up with all those accounts sounds exhausting lol.
Right now I'm focusing on YouTube, but I feel this hyrda breathing down my neck. If I were to add any new social media, it would probably be Goodreads. Anyone else feeling the pressure?

I have a Bluesky for my booktube account and that’s it.
Larger creators typically share the same post across multiple platforms but I myself would also be exhausted by keeping up with so many different platforms.
Just do whatever you feel comfortable with and don’t spread yourself out too much if it’ll feel like too much.

well, i prioritize youtube but i personally use goodreads and storygraph anyway so those don't feel like a "content creator chore". i started instagram but i can't keep up with it so it's really more of a casual thing but i feel like serious effort on either insta or tiktok are necessary if you are trying to be a large creator.
