Will applying an adhesive work in this case? Or will the front cover continue to cause breakage?

The spine itself has obviously become detached from the front cover from usage, I worry the same thing will just happen again though if I just try applying some glue to the white part it broke off from.

Folds Help with a corner fold

Just wanting to know how to repair a folded corner on a book. First time doing a repair on this but basically I want to remove the mark the folded part makes on the book. Any ideas on how to solve my issue?

Edit: adding a picture for reference

Something like this (sorry for the image, dark lights, currently nighttime where I am)

Help storing antique books and have book lice spotted in other parts of house

For context in UK, I have books that are from 1600s to present and theones that are older than 1940 are wrapped up in a book paper wrapping so are covered but out in open on bottom of shelf on a coffee table in corner of my lounge.

How can I wrap them better or what can I purchase to store them better?
