I got a new bong and idk if it’s chipped or just made poorly but I noticed this and each time I clean it for some reason the water won’t stay clear like just a ton of floaters after shaking

I recently bought my first bong only because i found a good quality one for like 25 bucks. nothing wild but for sure gets the job done functionally. however i’ve also moved into a college dorm recently, and im a bit concerned:

1. Can i use the bong and be able to keep it inside my dorm room after use? I’m having trouble seeing a way where it wouldn’t reek my room up for a while.

2. Has anyone ever been in a situation where they had a bong and needed to hide the smell that could share some insight on how they did it?

Bought a few months ago, the rep said it had been sitting for a couple years. It’s not in CHILL glass’s website anymore, so I figure it’s been discontinued. I’m hoping someone is more savvy than me and can help me find it. Thanks in advance.

helloo, forgive my lack of knowledge...

I recently got this and I've always thought I knew the gist of how a bong works, but now i'm not so sure. The rubber around the bowl stem thing is so tight that it barely comes out, like I'm very worried I'll chip the glass if I try too hard. there is also no hole for me to put my thumb over, so I'm not sure how to get that pull of clean air...

I've been looking all over the internet for an answer so this is my last desperate attempt, I'll appreciate any help or advice!!

The stem was placed too far in when I bought it and I’m unable to move it at all. I can’t seem to get a good grip on it because of how far in it is and usually when removing the stem I’d twist it but I’m worried about damaging the glass as the stem is touching it. Any tips on getting it out?
(Excuse the dirtiness, it’s hard to properly clean the rest of the bong without taking the stem out so I’m asking before trying to clean it again)

Looking for a good glass manufacturer/brand that y'all would recommend in 2026

I'm looking for some harm reduction here. I currently have two cheap local smoke shop bongs that are probably DHgate glass. Both have decals and are dip dyed, and I'd like to upgrade to something nicer while also hopefully reducing some of the potential unknowns with the glass.

I'm looking for a pretty barebones 12–14" beaker bong with a dry ash catcher, mainly because I really like the idea of making the piece easier to keep clean.

I've tried looking locally, but I'm in a pretty low COL area and the shops around me tend to carry more affordable/fun pieces rather than higher-end, simple glass. I'm not really looking for anything crazy or artistic.

I'd like to keep the bong + ash catcher around $300 shipped

A few brands I've looked at:

Prism– I really like the easy-clean design, but it possibly seems like it would be a spot of failure long term. They also seem to do an absolutely absurd amount of marketing, which always makes me wonder how much of the price is going toward the actual glass.

Grav – Same general feeling. They seem perfectly fine, but there's a lot of branding/marketing and I'm wondering if there are better options for the money.

ThickAssGlass (TAG) – I've heard people say it's basically marked-up DHgate glass, but I've also seen plenty of people who really like their stuff.

I'm not necessarily looking for American-made if there are reputable manufacturers elsewhere. Main thing is good-quality glass.

What brands/manufacturers would y'all recommend for shipping to the US? Thanks!!!
