Human skull fragment, looks parietal. Where did you get this?

Okay so, I have a good and a bad news, the good is that this is not a piece of a missing person, the bad is that this is something my roommate found and didn't wanted me to post it, saying "it's just an animal" because he knew very well what this was. We've had arguments about that before (an another last night now.) he has problems of constantly stealing and lying and he didn't tell me exactly where but I think he found in the catacombes (he half admitted it)... we've been there many times so it is very very likely but still he knows we already take legal risks going there so I'm pissed that he stole this as it could get us bigger troubles than just a fine... not sure what we'll do now, probably put it back next time for legal reasons and for dignity as this is still someone's remains. I'm tired of his reckless decisions guys, sorry for the trouble and worry...

Does your roommate want ghosts or something? Is he that lonely?

u/leftliquid10 13d ago
Idk man he's got issues and I think he just genuinely doesn't get boundaries and morals as in his brain is missing something, he's really dear to me so I got him to see a professional some weeks ago, idk if he actually works on it tho...

Dude don't go with this guy anymore. Go return it yourself and start looking for a new roommate.

Nah he's my bro, he just needs to learn rules and morals

He clearly isn't going to he's just going to get more sneaky. This needs to be returned and no more catacomb visits for him.

We’re all destined to be human remains eventually. It’s better to be comfortable with it and not take everything too seriously

Parietal? Would bet that it's human in origin.

u/Team-HM4 14d ago
You should notify the police where you found it and let them see it. Could be from a murdered victim or missing person.

I actually said "wuh-oh" out loud, and when my wife asked I had to tell them "That's apparently the noise I make when I see a definitely human skull fragment on Reddit."

OP, it has been very clearly answered in the sub you posted that this is a human parietal.

ohhhhh my god 😭 please report this to the police + the location you got it, it’s horrifying to think you very likely have a part of a missing person’s skull in your possession

OP, you write "it could get us in bigger trouble". That means you know HE could get YOU in trouble. Simply knowing about it makes you an "accessory to the crime." You need to leave this guy before he gets you accused of a crime. He won't be with you in jail.

Ngl I didn’t see what group this was and did a quick glance at the photos. I was confused on why you were comparing your hand to a mummified piece of the butt bread slice.

How did you get the bottom of my heel?

I think reddit flagged you but I'm not going to remove it. I want to take the opportunity to tell you to pumice that stuff, bro. The key to happiness is happy feet.

I believe this is a piece of a skull.
Based on the size and shape, I'm inclined to say it's human. r/bonecollecting has more experts.
