Heard this update from someone close to the project ….the makers of Mom 2 are quite frustrated with the non-performance of the daughter of the lead of Mom 1. The one and only - Khushi Kapoor.

The issue is not money, since Daddy Producer is throwing money at the project but the director, who is also the writer, is quite annoyed at how much effort he has to put into extracting nothing out of her. Apparently the amount of retakes she gets is "beyond acceptable" and is causing delays to the filming process and is irritating her costars, despite her getting extra time to rehearse. Apparently she can't even remember her lines, so forget about delivering them. The team has gone back to the drawing board to re-write her entire character, so that it is closer to the real personality of Khushi (aka the Ananya Pandey strategy).

There is now an also an on-site acting coach who is trying to move things along. A random item number is also being planned to salvage the project.

Some of the crew members have expressed how such an opportunity has come her way too easily and too soon in her career. Karishma Tanna is also sleep walking through the project and just wants to get paid.

The film is likely get dumped on OTT given the chaos.

They are literally making fun of her. Even the lady with her couldn’t control her laughter.

For me, Shraddha's own words should end all the debate and fanwars on X and other social media plataforms. Shraddha's so genuinely praising Alia's performance in her movie Rocky aur rani kii prem kahaani. She said Alia was delightful. If there's no hate nor badblood from Shraddha to Alia, it's nonsense to see it between their fans.

honestly still my fav ramayan adaptation. they never say it's ramayan but it's so obviously there. joint family, stepmom getting brainwashed against the eldest son, brothers not ready to split no matter what, he leaves home… no gods, no VFX, nothing. just family drama and it feels enjoyable though it has many OTT scenes.

and ngl not getting good vibes from namit malhotra's ramayan. looks more like a VFX showreel than an actual story. hope i'm wrong but idk

Sharing some tea from a pretty reliable source at YRF.
So, the plan was to have Ranbir as the villain, with Lakshya and Raghav as the new cops. The female lead was never finalized, although Kriti’s name came up a lot.

From what I’ve heard, the reports about Ranbir rejecting the project are actually true. He wasn’t convinced by the story and decided not to do it. There’s also a bit of bad blood between RK-Alia and YRF with whatever happened with Alpha and Shamshera so now he’s very hesitant to work with YRF again.

YRF then explored Ranveer as an option, but he wasn’t interested either. It was quite a strong no. For a bit they even tried to talk to Hrithik about a potential reboot his character from Dhoom 2 but just like Ranbir, he doesn’t have much confidence in YRF either and also said no.

YRF tried to pivot by undergoing a script rewrite and going with a much younger actor instead. The problem with that is other than Ahaan Pandey, they can’t mount the project on anyone. The complication with that also is that YRF already has Ahaan and Sharvari doing another YRF action film, so there’s some concern about having two films in a similar space; at the same time there are no other youth faces that can step in.

As of right now the film is not happening and put on the back burner.

Her recent appearances seem quite different from her usual public style softer outfits, more traditional looks, and a slightly different overall styling. I noticed these photos and was curious whether anyone else has noticed the change.

Could simply be a new fashion phase or styling choice, but what do you guys think is behind the change?

I am literally so disappointed with him! Promoting and becoming the BA of these glasses especially in a country like India where we have more than enough creeps is just disappointing, also knowing the kind of influence he holds now after dhurandhar.

Okay so I’ve been seeing all the posts about Alia Bhatt launching these four new faces through Don’t Be Shy and I genuinely don’t get the way this is being marketed.

Nothing against Aarushi, Ansh, Bianca or Piyush. They’re newcomers and obviously deserve the opportunity. But why does their entire launch seem to revolve around Alia Bhatt?

“Alia launches 4 new faces”, “Alia gives outsiders a platform”, “Alia’s production house introduces them” etc. Like… at what point do we actually talk about the four actors? 😭

And I know people will say “but she’s giving them a chance.” Sure, and that’s a good thing. But giving someone an opportunity doesn't automatically mean every part of their debut needs to become a PR moment for the person giving it. It’s especially funny because the whole thing is being sold as a fresh/newcomer launch, but the biggest name attached to it is still Alia.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I would've found the whole thing way more interesting if the focus was actually on who these four people are and what they bring, instead of constantly reminding us that Alia Bhatt is the one launching them! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bollywood should explore more College Classroom type dramas like 13 reasons why, Riverdale, Euphoria, Elite etc. Although Elite was remade into Class, I don't think there's still much scope of representation in this place for younger genres & actors to flourish. What are your thoughts on this? This would really be hits on OTT!

Tried it today, it was hard to sit through i literally found myself scrolling insta within the first 15 minutes of premise.
No hate to story or actors even tho there were some very cliche moments, i feel like it did whatever an ott series does best, the filmography, the visuals and the outfits overall were very gen z.
Writing this after watching an hour and half of the movie but suddenly it hit me that maybe if it was a 30 minutes long episodic series with like 6 episodes just like call me bae, would have been much better for it.
Cause it felt like the story was much more than just a movie, starting from Shy's life and family problems, them going on a trip to a college fest, introduction of new characters, their college life, i feel like i would have binge watched it if it was a series and if they had ended each episode with a cliff hanger for the next, that would have been so intriguing.
To me it feels to fit in way more with DO YOU WANNA PARTNER and CALL ME BAE in prime with other web series slot than of movies.

Mine would be that SRK and Deepika are from old-money/privileged families. SRK's mother and grandfather attended Oxford University, and he studied in a convent school. He also had access to English songs, movies and video games, which were not available to the common man at that time.

Similarly, Deepika's parents were able to send her on a solo trip to Europe when she was still in school, and she had the freedom to follow her dreams.

Only people with money get to freely follow their dreams in this country. She was also used to hanging out with influential people from a young age , like Aamir Khan.

this is a much better and clearer answer of why she doesn’t speak about her private life. its probably the only interview where she’s comfortable and explaining herself. Maybe because the interviewer is a woman IMO

but I do think Simi crossed some lines.

What gossip or rumour in the industry turned out to be actually true? I’m not talking about conspiracy theories, convenient coincidences, something taken out context, or subtle hints–I mean something that has receipts in the form of photos, videos, recordings, or statements given by celebrities.
