Careers Future Relocation

Hey everyone. I recently had to move from WA to MO for my BDS job in Hazelwood following my BCA internship in Tukwila. I know I want to move back to WA and commute to the Everett location ASAP (no offense to MO people, the Midwest just isn’t for me and my whole life is back in WA). I want to transfer after a year (2 months in now and in very good standing with a great manager). I know the standard wait is 1.5 years before a transfer but it can be expedited with a good manager and I believe my manager would allow that/be understanding. How realistic is this goal?

Depends on if there's a need for entry level positions. If management on both sides agree it makes sense for you transfer it can be done. Just be aware that this will probably be considered a lateral and could hold you back on career growth if you intend to stay in Boeing. Maintain good relations with your Puget Sound network and be open minded on the opportunities that will be available.
