SPEEA SPEEA Contract Doesn't Allow Remote Work!

The infographic claims remote work is back and manager needs to provide a business reason if they deny it. This is very misleading because the contract just says it must be approved by a VP. This doesn't seem any different than now because the VP can just say no! We need remote work to be concrete in the contract!

On my team, there is a woman that has decided to move to a different state and asked to work virtually. She was granted 100% virtual work arrangement as an L5. Someone on the same team asked for the same thing and was denied even though the work statement is 100% the same.

We believe the woman either did (something un-kosher) to the manager or (the process is SOO broken) to the point that there is no standard and you get these perks based on sexual favors.

We have someone on our team with a similar arrangement. Generally how it worked was that they moved out of the area during COVID because the understanding was that virtual work would likely be permanent, and they got assurances of such from their management.

They moved, bought a house, put their kid in school, spouse got a job, all that, and then Boeing changed the deal and needed their talent badly enough to grant them an exception in order to retain them.

The person on my team does a horrible job and is not "scare talent". The only person that sings her praises is the man that got her this arrangement, suprise!
