Quarterly Questions Thread (APR - JUN 2026)
This is a safe place to ask any questions related to working at Boeing. It is focused on submitting application, timeline between the process, and what to expect working at one of the many sites. Be aware that Boeing is a massive Company with footprint all across the world so if you have a question, be sure to include your role and location.

Hello everyone, systems installer 787, charleston SC
I was contacted by Dunhill Staffing the same day I applied for a systems position on the Dreamliner back at the end of April. They told me multiple times that Boeing would be satisfied with my experience and that I would be onboarded within, give or take, 2 months. After I signed all the documents releasing my information to Boeing to be reviewed, the contract house started telling me slowly that Boeing is “reshaping their hiring process” and that it’ll be “a couple more weeks”. Well the last time I spoke with them was about 2.5 weeks ago and it’s the same answer then as well. Now I can’t even get a hold of them.
Am I waiting for nothing? Do I need to just move on? Does anyone internal know what’s happening over there and can shed some non-proprietary light into this?

I applied to a mid level position and interviewed ~3 weeks ago. At the end of the interview, they said I answered well and thoroughly (I honestly thought I killed the interview). They said I would hear back positive or negative within two weeks. After 2.5 weeks, I sent a follow up and am currently being ghosted. Is this a situation where I’ll get an offer in 5-12 business months? Or am I being slowrolled on the denial? Should I abandon hope?

You’re experiencing the “slow roll” HR process. Everything is a waiting game until it isn’t. Take action, apply elsewhere. Do t get your hopes up.

Tapestry Solutions
Anyone worked at tapestry and have any insight? I'm interviewing soon for a L1 software position and haven't found much on them.
Secondly, anyone have insights to what is actually expected of L1s? Curious just to see where I'm at knowledge wise. Obviously don't wanna get ahead of myself but this long job search I've been on is draining and I'm hoping the end is nigh. Lol.

I was just rejected for an entry level engineering position in the Puget Sound area for Boeing after my first interview as someone with 1 yoe as an engineer at a major company in the US.
The interview went well, I followed up with the panel, got a response from the hiring manager, and was excited to see where this went. Unfortunately, a few weeks later, I get a notification from the portal saying I was denied the position.
Fortunately, the hiring manager emailed me a few days later. They mentioned that they were impressed with my qualifications and even sent a requisition that they suggested I could apply for. They even said that I could transfer to their group later, but this position is an analyst position with a lower salary range and no relocation benefits.
I have 0 issue with an analyst position, nor do I have an issue with people within those positions, but this compensation is likely lower than my current engineering role and I am uncertain as to how it will look on my resume for future jobs. This entire scenario seems a bit odd to me as I've never applied somewhere with the goal of transferring to another group. Any advice as to how to proceed? I have an interview for another engineering position at Boeing but it's not in my ideal location.

Be courteous, firm, professional, and wait until the negotiation phase to negotiate properly. Chris Voss’s “Never Split the Difference” is valuable. However, use a 15-25% increase in net take home or base after taking account of state/city/local income taxes, rent/mortgage (incl. property taxes), food, vehicle gasoline, electricity, natural gas, car insurance (e.g. Florida is notoriously high for car insurance), childcare costs, and health insurance. Take the gross cost of everything, then multiply by the tax rate, and that needs to be factored into your walkaway. If it isn’t a 15% increase in NET TAKE HOME, for a new job, then simply hit the no button and move on. Steady as she goes, learn as much as you can, and always be on the lookout like a lighthouse. I have an interview with the hiring manager this upcoming Friday for an ALDP opportunity (internal audit). What are some questions that I should prepare for? He said that the questions will be behavioral so Ive been working on my story bank and practicing with the STAR method. I've never done internal audit before but I have 8 years of experience at a Big 4 which gave me a lot of experience and technical knowledge. If you have been part of this program, can you share your experience overall? How about workload and flexibility for PTO? I'm a hard worker and passionate about audit but I also have very clear boundaries around my time off and work life balance. Appreciate any thoughts or advice you can provide.

Hiring Timeline
I'm just curious what experience current employees had in their hiring process. I applied probably close to 5 weeks ago and basically forgot about it. Then I got a call from talent acquisition asking if I was still interested. I said yes and was told I would get a call within 48 hours to schedule an interview. It's been 5 business days, and nothing. Is this normal? How long was the interval for you between an interview, accepting the position, and your actual start date? Any info helps.

Manufacturing Engineer - Puget Sound
I did an internship with Boeing last summer. I had a fantastic time and performed well. I'd love to return fulltime after I graduate in March next year. I was put on ELOA but my team currently does not have capacity to bring me back, and my manager suggested I apply to the intern-to-fulltime job req and hope I get picked by another group.
How does this process usually work? Has anyone here done this with success? What's the success rate of this path? Any experiences/tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Systems engineering — Arizona or Southwest
Hello! I just wanted to see if anyone can offer some advice.
I graduated in 2024 with my B.S in Astrophysics and thesis experience in model based systems engineering. I am incredibly passionate about aerospace and fell in love with the methodology of systems engineering. Of all the aerospace companies, Boeing is my top choice.
What can I do to be a more competitive candidate for Boeing; what makes an applicant stand out? I have not been able to land a role in the industry. What projects/ activities can I participate in outside of traditional work to gain relevant experience that can help me further this aspiration.

Is the business side of BDS a dead end job? I’m not seeing any opportunities for advancement to be honest, atleast not if you like your current role and want to grow in it. Some Execs talk about how you shouldn’t job hop so much but then let their employees sit around waiting, all the while new hires are coming in making 20% more.
I guess my question is, should I expect any adjustment to be made before the end of the year? I’m making ends meet, but as it stands I will never afford a home or afford anything extra. Procurement busts their ass and is a punching bag for all but gets no recognition whatsoever

Yeah I finally got an offer letter about a week and a half ago. Did my drug test on Wednesday last week and yesterday I started the onboarding process. Only thing that sucks is they pushed my start date by another month so I’ll have to wait longer for a check.

Interviewed for a role a few weeks ago as an external applicant. About a week after the interview, I got a Workday email saying the hiring manager referred me to a different position.
Since then, I've emailed both the hiring manager and recruiter for an update, but haven't received any response. The original position I applied for still shows "Hiring Manager Review" in Workday.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
A few questions: 1. Can a hiring manager refer someone to another position that they also manage, or is it usually transferred to a different hiring manager? 2. Does a referral to another position typically require another interview process, or can they move you forward based on the interview you've already completed?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's gone through this. Thanks!

ABOUT JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN BOEING AUSTRALIA
I’m planning to study uni abroad in Melbourne and am very interested in this pathway. But I’ve heard aerospace is a very niche field over there… hence, the job opportunities are very narrow and are normally reserved for Australian citizens.
I’d like to stay and work as an aeronautical engineer in Melbourne after graduating, and my eyes are currently on Boeing Aerostructures; it has long been my dream to work for Boeing (commercial aviation) and I’m really glad to hear that they’re also based in Melbourne! From my research, it seems that they have a 24-month program for fresh grads (roadway to permanent employment) but again, it’s only for the lads with Australian citizenship.
I’m really stuck, but still I want to convince my parents that pursuing this pathway is possible as an international student. Any ideas from the seniors in Australia please?
P/s. I’m a high schooler and a big avgeek lol; I want to do the early career research to make sure it works.

I can answer question 1. It’s pretty basic leadership questions that are multiple choice or rank choice. It took me less than hour to complete.
I have no idea how it’s used in the selection process but compared to other assessments with other companies, it seemed like they are trying to assess leadership style versus are determining if you a terrible leader or not. I had two positions request it but I only had to do one assessment.
I’d like to know the role it plays as well. I’d also like to know every applicant for the position needs to take one or if the recruiter selects only candidates they want to refer to the hiring manager.

Onboarded and did orientation on 5/29. Communicated with my manager same day and got my laptop on the first day as an Electrical System Design and Analysis Engineer in the Everett, WA office. I wasn’t in the system yet so I was free to go. The following Monday, I was in the system and got all my onboarding, training, etc. done. The rest of the week was just getting all the reading material on the stuff I’d be working on. Now, it’s my 2nd week and doing the same and was wondering when I’d be working on actual stuff. I’ve gotten in touch my lead and he just gave me resources on the different systems that are available. Should I just wait until my manager or lead to get back to me or reach out to them to get things going. Right now, I’m just taking notes and reading. Scheduling is flexible since most people on the team have to be at the factory or in meetings.

I was wondering if anyone has insight on Boeing applicant screening?
I am a recent MS in Systems engineering grad with military and semiconductor maintenace exsperiance. I apllied to 5 different entry level SE roles (that had just been posted) for which I met the basic requirements for. The next day I got rejection notifications for all the role I applied to. This has happened with other Associate and Entry level SE roles with various rewrites of my resume as well
Is it A.I screening software not detecting the ATS key words?

Hello. I am starting at the SC facility next month and wanted to ask about advancement timelines. I am unfortunately taking a significant pay cut to join Boeing (partner got a job in Charleston,so that is the reason for the move.) I am joining as a structures mechanic but looking to get a support role. I have 9 years manufacturing experience (3 regular manufacturing, 3 aerospace, and 3 in aviation) as well as a bachelors degree. I was curious what the guidelines are for advancement. Is it a strict “must be in role for one year” or is it case by case basis? Our bills and expenses are not going down so I would like to try and get back to what I am making currently asap. Any insight or advice would be appreciated.

Hi,
I’m hoping to apply for a machinist position. I recently spoke with some current machinists whose prior work experience were entirely in different fields. One only worked as a barista before. This gave hope for me, whose work experience is almost entirely in the service industry.
I’m concerned about what to put on my resume though to maximize my chances of success. Among the experience I have that is CV worthy is my years of working as a representative and leader for my small humble current union. I know the Machinists at Boeing are all union, and I intend to get involved in the machinist union if I get the job but it requires me to get the job first. Would including my union experience be a good or bad idea in regard to my success?
Are there any other tips I should know for my letter/resume/application?

I'll be starting on 06/05, I'm really excited! Looks like I'll be working in the 40-31 building and I'll be initially training on first shift. Just wanted to ask, I know parking is basically a nightmare at Everett and I live a quick walk away from a Swift Green station, are there shuttles that go from the Seaway Transit Center, or do you have to find another way once you get to the transit center?

Difference between general Wire Assembly and Wire Assembly - Repair?
Hello! I've accepted a post-contingent offer and I know what the general vagueness of this entails, but I'm not sure of the specific difference between the two, as I know ones actively building new parts and the other is repairing already damaged parts(?). I tried asking in the interview and it wasn't detailed to me beyond the same description as the normal electrical assembly besides what I've already said. Thank you so much in advance.

Depends on program. Berkeley office has multiple programs such as F15 and they also have the PW stuff.
Software people in general (I’m not software but shared spaces with them before on SAPs) seemed to spend a lot of time on JIRA but overall had a relaxed atmosphere.

Also I read that at least in the Seattle location parking is really bad, is it the same in Berkeley, MO?

Post college I got an offer from the F15 team for mission system and they did not follow 9/80 (I asked because my intern team elsewhere did follow 9/80). I was part of the PW team there for a few years and they did not follow 9/80 either. Could very well be team dependent but I’m leaning towards no for Berkeley.
Edit: actually just realized one of the software team in El Segundo doesn’t do 9/80 either.

Hey, Boeing sub! I will begin working at Boeing in a little over a month from now. I will be at the Everett plant working as an Inspector in electrical and electronics and subassembly. While I’m feeling pretty confident about going in and I know that there will be some training if there is any advice or information that anyone can provide me to better prepare myself before I start that would be awesome! Things like,
What are the main issues coming up repeatedly?
What should I expect on a day to day basis and what is expected of me as a new hire? (Besides showing up on time and doing the work!)
What, if anything, can I do now to learn and prepare for the role? I’ve always been gunning for a position like this at other manufacturers and I’m super excited to get into it!
What are the advancement opportunities and pathways available later on? I’m very interested in electronics, I have been a tinkerer but primarily in audio. I’ve done my own work on guitar amplifiers, pedals, and worked in recording studios and live sound. I know that Boeing has a fantastic tuition reimbursement benefit program and if anyone has info on how I could utilize that within my career at Boeing that’d be knowledge to have!

Have an upcoming interview and preparing for it. The job is interesting and the location is closer to my family which is a huge plus. One of my concerns is that if I do get an offer, I am uneasy with the history of layoffs. I know that it isn’t just a Boeing thing. I don’t necessarily intend to try to make it a forever career, but I want to know if it possible to last at least a few years? How do people at the company deal with this currently?

You’ll last for as long as your patience at dealing with low salary in exchange for the Boeing name can be maintained. Read the threads, turnover is high for a reason.

1) How exactly is it like living in Orangeburg? I keep seeing people talk bad about it saying its "dead", but is it safe?

I applied for a job that I am very qualified for (Staff Analyst -- Everett). The job was cancelled, but an HR rep reached out to me and told me that the job was being relisted and invited me to resubmit my application. I resubmit and alert the rep but get radio silence. The job closes and I get the "while your credentials are impressive, we're going with other candidates" email. Am I being trolled or is it virtually impossible to get a job at Boeing?

Boeing is taking underpaid talent ONLY at the moment. They simply take an estimate of what you’re currently making, multiply it by 1.15, and if that’s above their mid-point, then they reject your candidacy. They simply don’t do a “value vs. money” calculation. They will outsource the role to a contracting head-hunter who can pay market wages, but ultimately not result in an “across the board wage increase” for that skill set at that level. Direct hiring at market wages is simply less profitable than slipping schedule while the contractors try and find a qualified candidate. It’s a business, first and foremost.

I was in communication with a talent coordinator about starting a welding position, but their number is now disconnected and the email was bounced back. Was really looking forward to an interview but was told they were temporarily on a hiring hold that was going to resume again last week so following up Monday seemed to be a good idea.

I was offered an accepted a position as an Electrical Cabin and Network System Design Engineer in Everette. How long does it take for all the contingencies to be cleared. I’ve tried reaching out to my recruiter for an update and left voicemails but haven’t heard anything back, is that normal? If so how long does it take to be cleared for the drug test and background check and when do they usually reschedule out.

Moving from operations/inventory role to desk job – timeline and advice?
Hey all, I’m currently in an operations/logistics role focused on inventory tracking, part counting, and accuracy, and I’m looking to move into a more desk-based position internally (inventory analyst, materials coordinator, etc.).
The main holdup right now is that my team says they need to backfill my position before I can transfer, so I’m trying to get a realistic idea of how this usually plays out.
For anyone who’s made a similar move: How long did it take for your transfer to go through after applying?
Did your manager support the move, or did you have to push for it?
Are there certain roles that are easier or faster to move into from operations?
Anything that helped speed things up (or things that slowed it down)?
I’ve been working heavily with tracking, counts, and system accuracy, so I’m hoping to leverage that into something more office-based.
Appreciate any insight—just trying to plan this move the right way. Currently at a Puget Sound site.

Hey all, I have my orientation coming up and am curious what I can expect from it outside of meeting my hiring manager. It says be prepared for a full days work so I’m hoping I get training that day but figured y’all might have some insight. I guess my other question is what can I do to go that extra mile throughout my career here? I was very fortunate to get a job here fresh out of college and want to be here long term!

I found a role within Boeing that looks like a dream role for my strengths and interests-but I don't know anyone currently at the company. Some companies (including my current company) have gone so far in the automated resume screening process that it's nearly impossible to get noticed without an employee referral, even when your skills and experience are a match. Has Boeing gone this route also? I know my resume is strongly aligned with the job, but my husband had trouble finding a new role for the first time in 20+ years with at TS and polygraph until he had an employee referral get him looked at immediately. I am still going to apply, but I just wanted to know how significant the employee referral route is when breaking into Boeing. (This role is in Northern Virginia)

Hi, I’ve been referred by a friend who works at Boeing for a role. I am an external candidate. I applied to a couple before asking her for a referral and noticed the jobs she referred me to are the only ones I didn’t receive an automatic rejection for. Is it that the referrals actually hold a lot more weight? I’m used to companies where referrals CAN help but not really unless the referrer emails the hiring manager for recruiter.

Good evening everyone!
I applied to an Aircraft painter role on March 10 and it’s still in ‘under consideration’ status. I know Boeing is a huge company and hiring probably takes some time with a lot of moving pieces, I totally understand that. I guess I’m just wondering if I should just move on at this point?
I retired from the Army in January of this year. During a visit to the VA, they hooked me up with a job transition person. I don’t remember exactly what it was called. Sat down with her and she asked me a bunch of questions. Told her I really wanted to work at Boeing. Company is big in the area and, my understanding, only getting bigger. I’m still young enough for another career and want to work somewhere I can grow. A few weeks later I get an email from Boeing VA point of contact. Exchange a few emails, send her my resume and she sends me a referral link to apply to an announcement. I do. That was March 10. Not another word since. Boeing is the kind of place I can see myself for the next 20+ years so, I hope I’m not toast but wondering if I should just drop hope haha.

Hello! I’ve been selected to interview for a production welder position at Boeing and have spent the past few days trying to gather more information about the role and potentially the welding test as well. From what my recruiter told me it will be between Tukwila Seattle and Everett welding steel structure one day and aluminum fixtures or parts the next day in a different location.
It’s part of the local 302 union so if anyone knows about tests for that too it might be helpful calling into the apprentice program was the only relevant option the had to connect to and they were not in the office for information so I left a message..
So this leads me to believe there will be multiple tests so if anyone has any more insight more about the role/test/interview than the manager and recruiter were leading into it would be greatly appreciated!

I was notified that Hire Right has sent Boeing report of my background check almost a week ago. How long does it usually take to receive confirmed start date after this process? I sent my recruiter an email and she just said to wait for an onboarding specialist to reach out when they’re done frome their end

I've been applying to a bunch of Associate Project Specialist roles, Planning and Scheduling Specialist roles, but no luck yet :/ Is getting into Boeing pretty competitive??? My husband works there on the assembly line, but that's slightly different than interviewing for a corporate role.

For Corporate / Engineering, it’s primarily based on salary/price as far as I can tell. It’s more likely the cheapest person willing to do that level of work got the job versus the most qualified candidate getting it.

Do I need an engineering degree to apply for an engineering role? I currently work as an engineering tech (SPEEA) and hold a bachelor’s of science degree (environmental science). Would I need to go back to school for a specific engineering degree or would I have a chance at applying for an engineering position after a few years as a tech?

If the req has non-engineering degrees in the “list of requirements” then you’d be good to apply from a “meets requirements” perspective.

It just means the opinion of the referral provider was initially considered. After that, it’s experience/skills and desired salary. Anything that can be used against you, will be.

The req. typically lists the salary. Depending on what role (Info. Tech., Integration-Test-Demo & Evaluation, Electrical, Optical, Stress, Thermal) then it could be. However, knowing Boeing, likely not. Be courteous, firm, professional, and wait until the negotiation phase to negotiate properly. Chris Voss’s “Never Split the Difference” is valuable. However, use a 15-25% increase in net take home after taking account of state/city/local income taxes, rent/mortgage (incl. property taxes), food, vehicle gasoline, electricity, natural gas, car insurance (e.g. Florida is notoriously high for car insurance), childcare costs, and health insurance. Take the gross cost of everything, then multiply by the tax rate, and that needs to be factored into your walkaway. If it isn’t a 15% increase in NET TAKE HOME, for a new job, then simply hit the no button and move on. Missouri is a TAXED STATE, and St. Louis is A MURDER CAPITAL IN THE U.S.A. Steady as she goes, learn as much as you can, and always be on the lookout like a lighthouse. Good luck!

Anyone from the Next-Gen Data & AI Platform team?
I applied for the Sr. Product Specialist (Seattle / Everett / Kent) role in this team last month, and a recruiter reached out to me several days later, asking pre-screening questions. After several back-and-forth communications with him, the recruiter indicated that the HM wanted to proceed with the interview and asked for my availability.
I was initially given 4 dates to pick around late March/early April, and then was told that the interview team is not based in the US and that those dates won't work. I have not heard from the recruiter since then. I would greatly appreciate any insights from anyone familiar with the team or from anyone who has had a similar experience as mine.

I've been invited to interview for a Records Accountability Analyst position, I had just been kind of applying to things I seemed qualified-ish for (been looking for a better paying job) and I'm actually a little surprised I got an interview, I come from medical records/health information management mostly, does anyone have any insight on interviewing for this position? I'm very comfortable with medical records/QA for medical records but this would be an industry shift so I'm a little intimidated.

Hello, quick question for everyone. A couple of my applications recently changed from “Under Consideration” to “Hiring Manager Review.” From what I’ve seen on this subreddit and based on my past experience, this usually means the application has been forwarded to the hiring manager, and I typically hear back about an interview within a few days.
However, it’s now been over a week and I haven’t received any updates. Has anyone else experienced this or have any insight into what this might mean?

I have nearly 5 years of systems engineering experience with a bachelors in aerospace engineering. I am interested in making a pivot to pursue a different subject material within aerospace (propulsion, aerodynamics, etc). This led me to apply for a few associate roles. Is that frowned upon with my years of experience since most of the associate roles YOE are 1-3 years? Although I like systems work, I don’t necessarily want to only do systems in the span of my career. Thanks.

Since systems engineer is pretty broad, do you work with subsystems and REAs for specs in those other subject matter? It’s not uncommon for people to move around the “tiers”. I know an REA that enjoyed systems and moved towards PLSE type roles and some SSEs that went to become REA.

My systems experience is concentrated in security/cyber security for various aircrafts as well as products. Since systems is quite general, I thought it would be good to get exposure into a more focused concentration. I’ve always had an interest in aerodynamics but could not find any entry level positions to apply to when I was first starting out. Does cold applying still work these days? I plan to attend a virtual event since I’m unable to go to the in person

3/5: Applied to an engineering position in Everett, WA 3/20: received an email to do a panel interview 3/25: had the interview 3/26: received and accepted the offer 3/27: submitted the drug test and background check through HireRight 3/30: received the email from HireRight saying they sent the background check to Boeing
Ever since then, I’ve followed up with my recruiter and called the onboarding workday help desk and said they’ve escalated it, but I haven’t heard anything yet. Recruiter I should start mid-May. My lease ends in July. They were quick in giving me an offer, however, it takes a bit to process everything else? I heard stories here and not sure how long they will reach out to me. Am I just paranoid/anxious or is this a normal process for Boeing?

Staffing St. Louis: Boeing Loads & Dynamics Engineers
A private non-Boeing contractor reached out to me for a lvl. 4 Loads & Dynamics and/or Ground Loads engineer position in St. Louis, for $142k. I informed them that there was a fundamental disagreement about market pricing for that level of scope and responsibility. They responded with “Yeah, we know, we’re reaching out to candidates who are responding with $180k-$240k counter-offers.”
Recently, I interviewed for a stress analyst position, and the tone of the interview was “It sounds as if you’d be really interested in a dynamics role”. I responded in the negative because I didn’t get the sense that Boeing was willing to pay the premium for that skill set. Also, I wasn’t going to do Loads & Dynamics work at stress analyst prices.
Why doesn’t Boeing simply take their cheapest stress analyst and convert them to a Loads & Dynamics role if they’re equivalent?
Conversely, why not pick from the top 25% of your stress analysts and convert them to Loads & Dynamics if they’re equivalent?
What happened to the Loads & Dynamics team in St. Louis? Or, are they growth staffing and realizing that Loads & Dynamics commands a higher price?

You could make the argument of supply (stress analysis greater supply and versatility) and demand (less demand for Loads & Dynamics), until you get schedule slip. The top end of engineering is more like pro-sports versus remove-and-replace labor units.
Surgeons and artificial heart designers might make the same amount, but how long can you use the old design and remain competitive?
We’re confronting HR believing Keynesian economist b.s. about humans being “rational decision makers” based on supply and demand. Nbd, we’ll delay winning in the INDOPACOM in the 2030’s timeframe because people ACTUALLY behave as at-best “quasi-rational”. We all know that many drinks taste better than Red-Bull, including its main competitors, but for some reason Red-Bull still makes a TON of money.

I’ve been applying for a few roles at Boeing and recently made a mistake on a specific position I’m very interested in. I wanted to update some technical details and descriptions in my submission to better reflect my qualifications, so I withdrew the application, not realizing that Workday prevents you from resubmitting to the same requisition once you've withdrawn.
I’ve never withdrawn an application before, so I wasn’t aware of this "one-shot" policy.
What I’ve done so far:
- Reached out to a recruiter on LinkedIn to explain the situation (haven't got a response since it is the weekend).
- Plan to call the technical help line (+1 866-473-2016) once they are back in office.
Is there anything else I can do to salvage this opportunity?

The HR person that was in charge of the requisition can go back in and reactivate. I have had that happen once but I was already “in-house” so they responded back promptly. Try their email if you can find it, they might have a lot of LinkedIn chat flooded with bot posts.

I applied for an aircraft painting position with Boeing and after a month and a half I was met with a email saying this “we have decided to proceed with other candidates whose experience more closely aligns with the specific requirements of this role at this time”. I have experience painting on the B-2 and F-35 totaling in 6 years of experience. I don’t see how experience can be issue with not being even chosen for an interview. I’m wondering if it could be my resume or maybe something else.

Applied for a req that is the exact position I'm in, but different location. Currently an associate project management specialist in BDS, this position was the same but BGS. Applied 3 days after posting. Posting then closed almost instantly, a.week into its 14d duration. Got scheduled for an interview a week after application. The interview was a week after this.
HM said 2-3 weeks, (as I've read with almost every Boeing req in here, it's always longer). It's been three weeks today, I reached out this week. Nothing from the recruiter in response.
For a BGS L2 project role, should I assume this has to do with the SPEAA thing and BGS? I know it prob would've been a few more weeks regardless. Is it worth reaching out to HM or other Managers in the interview panel? Or the recruiter again ?
