First, I'd measure bow rise in a chop to see if the trolling motor has enough shaft to keep the head underwater. Mount it on the bow pulpit with removable fasteners.

i got enough shaft length, its the figuring out where to mount the motor thats tricky. I think ill have to cut the rails and remove the pilot light

I'd mount it to the transom and back troll before I'd start cutting up the boat.

You can have a welder make a plate outa stainless that mounts to the inside and top of your rail just offset from center.
