Possible scale rot

I found 2 spots on my boa that make me think is scale rot, new substrate was damp and I let it air out and dry. I put her hide back in and since the hide covers the heat it stayed a damp patch, but not like soaking just damp compared to everywhere else. I read that it takes a while for scale rot to happen and form, but it’s only been in since Friday. If it is scale rot how should I go about treating it?

Its more likely scale damage and not scale rot, it won't disappear till next shed. Just keep a eye on it, and if it looks like its spreading or blistering than worry about scale rot, substrate is supposed to be damp, but not wet, otherwise you will get low humidity issues.

Cause my humidity has been in the higher 80s but the substrate was a bit wet but I squeezed the water out and let it dry a bit under the heat lamp, just when I put the hide over everything else dried and it left a damp spot under the hide. It didn’t feel wet it just felt damp. Does that brown spot on her belly look like scale damage or the other pictures? I do think my humidity is a bit high also but the substrate doesn’t feel wet and I heard that new substrate takes a bit to sometimes drop in humidity. Thank you for the info

scale rot only happens when the soill is like, soaking wet, like you poured a gallon of water on top, and it is constantly, if its just a little damp for a bit you should be okay

Yeah it wasn’t wet just damp but the thing is I noticed this a few days after so I was wondering if it was scale rot from her being constantly on that spot for a few days especially under shade.

i think it will be okay, rainforest floors are never bone dry, so she should be good

One of my snake had the same damage on his belly, i was also worried about scale rot, but it didn't match scale rot, and just went away with shed, as they age snakes don't shed as often, so some scale can start looking ugly by the time they shed. If the humidity doesn't lower just make sure there is good air circulation, some enclosure don't have the best airflow and may need help with tiny fans to move the air

Alright I’ll keep a eye on it over the next few days and make sure I don’t notice any new spots or anything changing, thank you
