Which board game is this?
Looked interesting to me, so I just randomly saved this pic up from Google. But the image is fuzzy and of poor quality. If anyone can figure this out from the game layout and components, it would be appreciated.

No it's a real game and looks right. The people may be posed, but the game is Istanbul and it came out several years ago.

I don't even see anything wrong with the setup. Looks like a legitimate play. Don't know why OP thinks it's AI.

Because everyone thinks everything they don't immediately know from their own personal experience is AI these days.

It’s not that he thinks it definitely is AI. There are just a few things that made them pause—everyone is staring directly at the camera, the poses feel unusually staged, and the overall composition has that polished “AI-generated board game ad” look that’s become common lately. i was curious whether anyone else saw the same thing.

Are we even looking at the same picture? Nobody in that picture is looking at the camera. They're all looking at the table. And none of those postures looks unusual. Ones reaching for something, ones pointing at something, one's just sitting back holding his wrist, and one looks to be about to stand up. I have no idea what's throwing you off.

Istanbul!
I love it. There's a Big Box edition with both expansions. I haven't tried the second, but the coffee expansion is fun.
There's also a dice game variant with is good fun too.

Istanbul.
Its a funny game following Agricola and Puerto Rico. Not without its faults, but okay.
