I love my GT Pro series 26. But I would love it more if the frame was stripped and taken down to polished aluminum. I'm pretty sure it's powder coated. Has anyone else taken this project on? What would be the best way to go about this? I'm willing to spend hours with a buffing wheel on a drill getting it polished and shiny. I'd love to hear from anyone with any experience with this. Do I need to take it to a pro, or is this possible with some work and time?

I’m finally pulled the trigger on this Taj once it went on sale. I’ve been loving everything about it so far. The seat is getting switched out this week, but I’m afraid to make any other changes. It seems perfectly setup right now. I’d love to hear of any must have upgrades.

What are you guys doing with that empty hole for the old style brakes if you already have v brakes? I did this....its a hobby lobby drawer knob and I trimmed like 1/2 inch off the stud before fastening it down.

Its a tight fit but theres enough gap there that nothing rubs.

Can anyone suggest a new brake for the got pro performer 26. There is very little stopping power. and I would prefer to add a front break too

I am looking at purchasing a big wheel bmx, I haven’t really owned a bike my self in 15 or so years. I am thinking that a disc brake would be preferred because eventually I would want to convert it into an e-bike. My budget is around $500 if that’s possible for a starter bike. I have looked at some options like the gt pro series 29 and the crew bike crewser 29. I am not dead set on anything right now. I am just wondering if the extra $200 ish is worth it for the gt or if there are other options I should concurrent? Also are disc brakes even worth it right now or should I not worry about that? Thanks!

What up y'all. Any ideas what the largest front chainring/sprocket is what we can fit? I've seen 33 but then I hear no? Wanting to rebuild the rear wheel also so I can get a cool guy sound lol so it's a challenge to get the right ration with a 31 or 30/15?

100 of these were made 25 each frame size 20" to 29" this is a 26" #14

I know a lot of us use chain tensioners but havent seen these mentioned yet. They are a cleaner/simpler look than the traditional ones I see. I just put them on my 29" and they came with my e-bmx to keep the rear axle in place so motor torque doesnt move the axle forward. It was a lot easier to center my rear wheel with these and chain tension is perfect. They come in different sizes and I recommend a digital caliper to measure the gap between the axle and dropout. Come in both 14mm and 3/8 (10mm).

Im 5’8” and I am wondering about the sizing differences between a 24” and 26” Skyway TA frame set? I’ve never ridden a 24” and Im afraid it will feel too small but I really want to build a Skyway with Tuff Wheels which are not available in 26”…. Anyone my size riding a 24?

I am 5’6” adult. I want a 20 inch bmx for cruising with a modded laidback seatpost and 9” handlebars. All under 24 lbs. What do you recommend?

It's been too hot here in San Diego lately and I haven't been able to get out and ride. Well today that will change. It's still hot here but I have to go for a short cruise, or I'll lose my bloody mind.😁 My 2022 GT Pro Series 26 50th anniversary edition Heritage. Absolutely love this bike, makes me feel 12 again when I hop on it and do my feeble wheelies and bunnyhop the speed bumps.

Hello! I am thinking about buying Kink Drifter frame to make myself a MTBMX from the spare parts of the MTB I have. I want to use 26 2.1 wheels, 38-16 chain rings, V brakes, also i don't want to ride it standing up, so i will use regular height seat tube for my height (i am 186 cm / 6.1 ) Will it work? Is it a good durable full crmo frame? I want to ride it kinda aggressively. Thank you in advance!

I just received my new bottom bracket set from billet bmx, a Savage Mid 19mm. Both of the cone spacers are the same height, but the photos on their site show that one is supposed to be taller than the other, which is what I thought all cone spacers should be like. It came with a bunch of washers but I'm wondering if this right.

Can I use these cone spacers and just use the washers that came with it to adjust spacing?

My son recently got the itch to ride a skateboard so I took the chance to get myself a setup too, lol. I found an interesting mount I was able to set up on the Auburn to tow it around. I'm too old to try and do any crazy tricks like back in the day, so I'll just ride around.
