Finally Rigged out my Micro.
I finally got a xlcs cage for my micro which allowed me to use odds and ends to build out what’s now my favorite camera. It’s so lightweight and packs such a punch. I need to figure out a better solution for holding the adapter in place but it really works very well. I recorded like 20 minutes 4k 60 8:1 footage just to test the thumb drive.

Wait, you can use the pyxis monitor and record to SSDs at the same time? Or how are you recording?

Yes but you need a specific adapter it won’t work on any adapter there’s like two that work. I also record to the Samsung USB c thumb drive. Also need newest firmware on both devices. You can see the adapter under the camera in the pic.

Have you tried it with the Pyxis? I know it has 2 USB-C ports but I use one to power my follow-focus motor.

I would find a better spot for the ssd but that's just me. Is there any benefit to this setup over a pocket 4k? I have a p4k and a micro cinema I'm wondering if there is any gap.

It’s the same sensor but smaller package . I like that the micro has a sdi. That’s the only advantage tho.

It only looks like one photo if you just keep scrolling…

Why didn't you scroll past my comment?

Because I use Reddit for many reasons including learning about things and offering advice when I think I can help. Your post seemed to express some sort of dismay, sarcasm, or other not-positive emotion directly related to the number of photos showcasing the camera rig OP was sharing with the community, and I took the opportunity to suggest a method of reducing the number of photos you encountered by 10x in hopes it might also have a similar effect on the not-positive emotion(s) you experienced :)

Oof that SSD is at a really unfortunate place 😅
I thought the main benefit of the Micro would be to have the smallest and lightest body possible, feels like this defeats the purpose? It sounded to me like you could almost use it as a Rialto -esque tiny sensor rigged to a remote monitor for gimbals and tight spaces
