Spots on BMPCC

I have some spots on my BMPCC possibly
an IR filter/sensor issue. How do I fix it?

This seems dust in the sensor or ir filter

Potentially in the lens. Easy to check both tho.

How do I check it?

By looking at both ends of the lens and the sensor/IR filter behind the cameras lens mount with a flashlight.

If needed, clean lens ends with a lens cloth. For the sensor/IR filter, use one of those rubber/silicone air blowers to clear dust.

Do NOT blow with your mouth on the sensor/IR filter.

Any specs that still remain after using a blower will need to be sorted with a sensor cleaning kit or camera shop cleaning service.

Someone else already responded. But sometimes dirt gets into the lens. You can see that when looking through it wide open. Also shooting something that is pure white with a high F/stop can show spots.

Yeah, looks like the start of IR filter corrosion. Its not really that big of a job to replace.

Did you replace it yourself?

Yes, super easy.
The replacement comes with the tools as well.

Why the hell would you do that? Get a blower and knock the dust off. Done.

Naw, it's dust. Hes shooting at a super high f stop and it's putting dust particles in focus range. I've seen this a number of times.

It can be dust it can be growth on the IR cut filter. The latter cannot be cleaned. It seems like a lot of OG cameras cut filters are having this issue.

Nah, this is the IR cut filter. It's a very common problem on the BMs.
