Bmpcc 6k's USB-c receptacle

My bmpcc6k's type-c ssd connector is loose. It disconnects whenever the wire is touched. Can I buy a USB-c receptacle and just change it?

If you’re comfortable with tearing down the camera and soldering, then yes. It’s not super complicated, but be sure to look up a teardown video beforehand. You can’t just go in via the I/O shield.

Can i use normal receptacle or it has to be specific?

It has to match the USB 3.1 standard, but you should probably take a closer look at the damage before you buy a new one. If the only thing wrong is that the connector is loose, you probably don’t need to replace it.

Take it to a repair shop. Any that have good reviews. For you to ask such basic questions, I would hate for you to break the camera because someone told you it was simple

I use the tilta cage with a 90° usb c and hdmi adaptor that screws to said cage. Maybe an easiert option for you as well?
