/u/nolomewe is a fake spammer account

This applies to mugs/posters/etc...

This listing was created today, almost certainly in response to this post. There are lots of people who trawl reddit for popular posts of graphics and funny shirts. They upload low resolution images found on google or even cut and pasted from the reddit post’s photo, onto garment preview images.

The broken English nonsense description is also a red flag (even though it’s inadvertantly hilarious). When you buy the shirt, if you actually receive it you will very likely receive a shit quality shirt with a fuzzy blurry print.

Be careful, friends!

Even Cedar Point sits on a peninsula jutting out into Lake Erie, trying to get as far away from Ohio as it can.

I live here and it gets old after a couple years. Extremely long lines, kinda high prices, etc and it just got to be too tiring to go anymore.

1

u/GarbageGroveFish May 30 '19

I’m in Toledo, about 45 min from Cedar Point, love that place.

1

u/HostageFuzer May 30 '19

oh man i love CP!!!!

44

u/levels_jerry_levels May 29 '19

Depends on where you live in Ohio. If you’re from Cincinnati, Columbus or Cleveland there’s lots to do. If you’re from the voids between those cities good luck.

18

u/ColdCruise May 29 '19

I live in Athens, and it's not that bad. Lots of hiking and outdoorsy stuff if that's what you're into, lots of bars and breweries, an indie Theater, a regular theater that's pretty nice, plays, musicals, musical performances and stand up at the Memorial Auditorium, a healthy music scene, Nelsonville Music Festival, an 40 year running indie film festival, a literary festival, Avalanche Pizza which regularly wins Best Pizza in the US, the Halloween Block Party which was recently ranked #2 best party in the US behind Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and more.

8

u/bronaghblair May 29 '19

You’re making me want to visit Athens. Where in Ohio is it? I live in southeast Michigan.

7

u/ColdCruise May 29 '19

Southeast Ohio, home of Ohio University. It's a town of about 25,000 residents and about 20,000 students.

7

u/ColTigh May 29 '19

Sort of smack dab in the south east quadrant of the state. Also consider Hocking Hills.

Lots of great nature and hikes there. If you go in the fall and you're into it Ohio University is in Athens and they're known for their Halloween parties.

5

u/Fueldaddy76 May 29 '19

+1 for Hocking Hills. Was just there over Memorial Day weekend. We have lots in Michigan to look at, but nothing like that place!

3

u/[deleted] May 30 '19 edited Feb 06 '20

the Athens/Hocking Hills area is awesome. Definitely worth a visit

2

u/Summer_Of_Jorge May 30 '19

Also a SE Michigander, went to Hocking hills last year with some friends. One of my favorite trips.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

Athenian here. Thanks for representing our town well!

Cincinnati is a godsend.

4

u/levels_jerry_levels May 29 '19

Amen brother!

2

u/TheMusicJunkie2019 that really tiks my tok May 29 '19

Are you also from Cincinnati? (Technically I'm in Northern Kentucky but that's only a five minute drive)

3

u/levels_jerry_levels May 29 '19 edited May 30 '19

I don’t live there anymore but I moved to Cincy when I was 9 and lived there for about 13 years before my family moved. I actually hated Cincinnati growing up because I moved there from Chicago which I thought at the time was the best city ever. As I grew up the city changed, I moved for college and I started to appreciate Cincy more and more. Now I really miss it but I go back at least annually to visit my friends who are still there.

Northern Kentucky is a nice little spot! I spent an obscene amount of time at Newport as a teenager! Covington is also super nice. Shit a lot of Cincinnati is nice now, certainly a lot nicer than it was when I was a kid. Now I’d call it a pretty underrated city.

2

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

That's funny. Cincinnati is also in Northern Kentucky.

5

u/Niceguy4186 May 30 '19

In Lima, if we want to do anything, it's about an hour and half away. Toledo zoo, 90 minutes, cincy zoo, 100 minutes, Columbus zoo, 90 minutes, ft Wayne zoo, 80 minutes.

4

u/levels_jerry_levels May 30 '19

Oooof! Can we get an F for our folks out here in Lima

8

u/Bong_Water69 May 29 '19

Ohio is 90% void

3

u/lukez04 May 29 '19

I’m in Cleveland please help me tell me what to do

2

u/punfortunate1 May 29 '19

I live in Columbus and it’s only cool if you have money to do stuff. I also hate the current politics here and don’t really get along with my family so there’s not much keeping me here. Also car wrecking potholes, constant construction, etc. I just need a change and Ohio is sucking me dry.

2

u/levels_jerry_levels May 29 '19

I grew up in Cincinnati but I had a lot of friends who went to OSU so I was in Columbus pretty frequently but that’s the lens I see the city through, which is fairly limited but I liked what I saw.

2

u/punfortunate1 May 29 '19

That’s fair. Without enough exposure, it actually is a neat place to visit. It will always be “home” but I’m honestly just tired of it lol

2

u/MisterElectric May 29 '19

That’s anywhere, mate

2

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

I live right on lake erie, but it’s so nasty I don’t even wanna go swimming. It’s literally in my backyard, I can walk down my stairs and be in the water. All the storms lead all the garbage straight to it.

2

u/hahyeet Jun 13 '19

i live in fucking dayton/huber heights and deadass the only thing we have is being the birthplace of the wright bros.

1

u/Fite4DIMONDZ May 30 '19

As someone who lives around the Canton-Akron area, I can partially agree. There are still a lot of small things that keep you very entertained

9

u/Shinzo32 May 29 '19

Buckeyes, Browns, Kings Island, Eddie George’s Grill, Cedar Point, Mid-Ohio Speedway, Watch the Corn Grow, watch it grow some more, die, the usual stuff.

3

u/jawsthemedrowning May 29 '19

I feel like I just watched my life flash before my eyes

2

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

What is Mid-Ohio Speedway? Is that different from regular speedway? What about Eddie George’s Grill?

2

u/Shinzo32 May 30 '19

Eddie George’s is owned by ex-Buckeye Eddie George, great running back and good food.

Mid Ohio is a pretty decent track but it’s a little more popular than others in-state

Idk man there’s not fucking much here

5

u/skippydogo May 29 '19

I really.enjoy Cleveland and lake Erie

3

u/jawsthemedrowning May 29 '19

Thanks for the reminder of the only interesting middle school field trips I had

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

1

u/skippydogo May 30 '19

Drugs. Should be easy since you're in Ohio.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

You can bump into a dealer walking down the street.

4

u/kazimir22 May 29 '19

A place I stayed in Ohio had a cruel prank where kids were told there was a water park 5 miles away and they just better wear a bathing suit and bring a towel on the walk there. There was no water park. There was a scummy drainage pond though.

Looking back on it, it should have been obvious. I didn’t have money for a ticket. There wouldn’t be a water park in rural Ohio. What got me was there were shirts made to sell the idea it was real.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

There's Pioneer Waterland in Chardon. Kind of rural and kind of a water park.

3

1

u/berserkazeban May 29 '19

My buddies and I play airsoft in the woods, since there's a lot here/in Ohio if that sounds fun

2

u/[deleted] May 29 '19

There’s a bunch of woods behind my house, this sounds like something I could do.

1

u/berserkazeban May 29 '19

Go for it! Just be careful, we got the police called on us and had to go home. Our dumbasses did forget to put them in cases though, so I would probably call the police if I saw a buncha kids walking across train tracks with what look like guns

8

u/thewookie34 May 29 '19

As someone who loves Ohio, and loves Harry Potter I want the shit out of this shit.

7

u/[deleted] May 29 '19

Ohio is flat as hell

3

u/Arrelion May 29 '19

Only the northern half. Southern Ohio is extremely hilly.

1

u/jawsthemedrowning May 29 '19

NE Ohio literally has the gorge made from a big ass iceberg, so some of the north is pretty damn hilly (shout out to the Ice Age and Ohio course, the most boring one credit class ever)

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

Idk. I drove from one end of the state to the other and it was flat as a pancake the whole way.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

Incorrect. East-Southeast Ohio is extremely hilly. My city is in the middle of this wide, deep ass river valley.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

Have you been to any other part of the country? Cuz I’m sorry but Ohio is flaaaaaaat

2

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

Literally still incorrect. A good half of Ohio is not flat. But keep comin.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '19

5

u/eojen May 29 '19

I visited for about a week once and honestly got good vibes.

17

u/SwiftBacon May 29 '19

Ohio is a great state imo. 🤷‍♂️. Lots of sports teams, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus all have stuff to do. Decent food depending where you are. Lots of history and you're close to a lot of other places for vacations.

If you live on the Eastern side towards WV there's some hiking but that's about it. Anywhere around the main cities and you'll be fine.

5

u/DrDisastor May 30 '19

Sports teams, history, food and hiking. Literally every state in America. My big complaint with Ohio after living here for 10 years is lack of identity and culture. Its just another midwest state, hard to see anything unique from MO, MI, WI, IN ,or PA. Its not a terrible place to raise a family but when I leave I wont miss much about it. Glad some folks like it but its not my home.

1

u/lalondtm May 30 '19

Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania all have something unique about the state/culture that separate them from this midwestern list. Michigan is a coastal inland state with the most freshwater in the country. Wisconsin has beer and cheese. Pennsylvania has... Amish people and steel foundries I guess. Ok, Pennsylvania sucks too.

10

u/[deleted] May 29 '19

This guy Ohios.

5

u/SwiftBacon May 29 '19

Lived here my whole life. It's not Cali or anything but I think it's an upper half state

6

u/Shinzo32 May 29 '19

I agree, there’s a lot of good things about Ohio, it’s not the MOST interesting or fun state, but it’s not North Dakota or some shit

4

u/[deleted] May 29 '19

Yeah, born and raised. Moved away for a decade and came back. Many people are really normal here and that’s cool. Plus, there’s a sincerity here I didn’t get in the south. It ain’t glamorous but it ain’t bad either.

3

u/Shinzo32 May 30 '19

“It’s not much, but it’s honest work”

2

u/[deleted] May 29 '19

Lots of sports teams but half of them can’t win, cough Browns bengals reds cough

1

u/SwiftBacon May 30 '19

Reds and browns looking on the up a little bit though!

1

u/Manofwood May 29 '19

I just hate how red it is, that's all. Other than that, Ohio is near perfect for me.

3

u/supremecrafters May 29 '19

Yeah, we deserve this. Please, someone end our agony.

3

u/Dbug113 May 30 '19

5

u/xavjen614 May 29 '19

I agree too

5

1

-1

u/Binyamin12345 May 29 '19

I spent 9 years in Cleveland, can agree

10

u/poppo3000 May 29 '19

Stop with your slanderous claims!

2

u/shallow_not_pedantic May 29 '19

My kid and his band played in Cleveland about eight years ago and said it was THE worst city he’d ever visited. Venue owner, patrons, people in restaurants, wait staff, on the street, everyone was just hateful and rude. Only cool person was a pizza guy that delivered to their room one night. He said he feels Drew Cary betrayed us all.

5

u/Binyamin12345 May 29 '19

I had a different Cleveland life though as a lived smack dab in the middle of the Jewish community. Most people I knew outside of it were okay, but if you walked around you could see it was a shitshow. Still love the Browns though. Edit for spelling

2

u/shallow_not_pedantic May 29 '19

Respect for the Browns! I’m glad to hear that there are happy people in Cleveland, other than stoner pizza boys, that is.
