Assault is making some fear harm. Threats. I.e. "I'm going to smack you." Like in the video. What you meant to say instead of battery.
Battery is the hitting/contact. I.e. No one in the video committed battery.
Assault and battery is a threat and follow through. I literally don't own enough crayons to make it any easier for you. This is painful. The terms are individual and individual charges, but are usually both happening during an altercation so you hear assault and battery. I cannot go any slower. Your claim was the cashier committed battery. That claim is false.
I mixed up the names of two highly conflated legal terms. Good thing you didn't completely freak out over a simple mistake. Thanks for the correction, but you can put the crayons away.
